  1. Hey just want to know where fellow Fraser valley area BCers go for trails or just places you go offroading in your Pathfinder. I'm new to it all, only lived here for four years and just picked up my pathy last year. The most I did with it off-road was play on some decommissioned logging roads around Harrison Hot Springs just hoping to get out more this year in between work and university, so maybe we can all meet up and wheel on a weekend.

  2. Mine has the same problem, been checked out and cleaned every possible means. My buddy at Nissan checked it out and couldn't suggest much other then buy a new one. So now I live with it and make it a joke when it bounces to 8k at a light that we are really flying and redlining again. Only problem I have is occasionally it distracts me from the road, but so does everything else.

Also anyone know how to replace the clock light so I can see it at night?

  3. Happy New Years, yeah I remember it... haha met some random new people from another house party. Parked my Pathy in a half in a ditch (no I wasn't drunk before I did that I just wanted to park it that way so it would be a random topic at the party) "Uh Smith you know your Pathy is half in a ditch?" "Really? I thought that was a little pot hole"

  4. Wow sweet guages killvox, I've been debating if I should order them. But I was really intrested is the clock light at the bottom, I've got a '93 and my clock light is burnt out, does anyone have any suggestions on how to replace the bulb and what size it is?

  5. I wish I could go, just your hitting me at an awful time. I've been off work and class for a month due to medical complications and trying to make up for lost time in two weeks (Four papers, Three Mid-terms). Keep in touch since I'm in the Fraser Valley area and got some mates who might be willing to come out.

  6. Get an aftermarket gauge like an Autometer one... cheaper than a new Nissan one

Nissan new ones are $500 CDN :hide: like hell I'll use your suggestion but I just like the clock in the bottom of it to tell time.

  7. Hello, I've got a '93 and my techometer acts up on ocassion to, I've discussed it many times with my buddy who works for Nissan and he's checked all the cables and says nothing seems to be the problem but his solution was to order a new techometer for $500 and that might solve the problem.

  8. As some one noted before it is summer time so I'm usually out in the sun with my Pathy and some dame or just kicking it with some mates. The occassional night I will load up the Hearts of Iron II Doomsday game (who said Canada never wanted to join Nazi Germany in wold domination), the occassional Close Combat III battle with Germany deep in Moscow of '41. I usually wait until winter or when I can't do much else for a lack of funds.

  9. I had this happen last month, took it to an alternator shop and found out that a diode was bad in the alternator....had a high pitched whine like a remote controled car.......check it out in the dark....your guages and headlights probably get brighter when you hit the gas pedal....

All right when it's dark and my engine is cold I'll try that out and if it does then I know to go to Nissan and get her fixed after my little road trip.

  10. Well I live in the Lower Mainland area of BC, so I can keep an eye out for work. I have no idea if we are hiring since I supposdly took the last Service Technician job but here is out flashy website National Energy Equipment see if we still are or what. I know we all hate the new foremen cause well he's a complete moron (I never said that, that was our Union Head). Well good luck and I hope the best.

  11. Last tune up?? Timing Belt changed??

    MAF needs a cleaning???

Last tune up was about 3 months ago, timing belt was done last year, I haven't done a MAF cleaning but I can look into it, unless my buddy did it when he was doing my tune up since he did a whole bunch of stuff that he didn't charge for.

  12. Hello, I have some questions first off it's been a heat wave where I live (30+C) then cools down to about 16C at night. When I leave for work in the morning I start up my pathy and then put it into drive and when I touch the gas it makes an awful whinning noise until I get about 5+KM on the Highway then it slowly goes down until it is silent, I've never heard it after leaving work and sitting in the sun all day, so any possible ideas? My second question is in this heat I'll stop at a light and my RMP will drop from 900 to about 600 or less, I know my tachometer has been acting up but you can hear it loose power then struggle to get it back. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions it would be much appriciated. PS It is a '93 XE Automatic.

  13. The build date was 10/92 according to the door panel information, but it is considered a '93. I have no idea other then it has a tachometer on the left, gas and engine temp in the middle and spedometer on the left. Hope this helps a bit.

  14. Well, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my 1993 XE Automatic. My tachometer jumps irradicly around sometimes when I'm driving like it will go from 2000 RPM to 5000RPM but the engine doesn't do this just the guage. Anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this?

  16. Hello,

Well I picked up my 1993 XE Pathfinder a couple months ago. I've taken her off the trail once but hope to be taking her out more. I just need some better tires. Well I made a Car Domain space on her.
