  1. Well enough of this. I'm going to make a date with an A/C expert then. I have to get to the bottom of this. Thanks to all. Blair...
  2. Hi there MWS. I have been talking to 2 mechanics and they said that it could not be overcharged... Is this true? Im going to check out these temperature sensors and ambient sensor and see if theres a problem there. I have driven this truck on hotter days and have never had this intermittent A/C thingy happen. Im looking into the connections again.
  3. It was doing this at the beginning of the summer and I thought it was down on r134. It was still cooling just not at stops or slow driving. My friend had a proper hose and we got the bottle from an auto shop. We emptied the can into the system with the A/C on high as instructed. It seemed to get a little cooler, but is still doing the same thing. This is why I'm wondering if a sensor or pressure switch is letting go. IT SEEMS TO WORK PRETTY GOOD IN THE EVENING WHEN ITS COOLER OUTSIDE!
  4. Hi there guys. Nope not the fan clutch, I got a used one to try and the A/C is still shutting off at stops or in rush hour. When I speed up it comes back on!!! Is there some kind of pressure switch or something else that might possibly going wrong with this? Bitcher its hot today!!! Have to stay :cool2: Blair.....
  5. Going to the wreckers tomorrow to get a new used one. Thanks to all. I think I can get one for about 25 bucks.
  6. Hi man and thanks for the reply. So I may have a troubled fan clutch you think eh? How do I check it? It spins when the engine is cold and hot both ways with ease. Blair...
  7. Hi there again fellas. Its still doing the same thing so I think that the compressor may be pooched. When it idles the compressor turns off. When I start moving the truck the compressor kicks back on. I have checked all the wiring around the unit and inside the cab (thinking that something may be loose,) but still nothing. Is there some kind of pressure switch or something that may be failing when i stop??? DUNNO but trying to keep cool at stops or in rush hour is a BITCH!!! Any answers or ideas would be appreciated... :furious: HOT BLAIR.....
  8. A/C compressor is turning off at the hottest times. When i slow down or stop at a stop sign the compressor turns off and when I speed up again it is coming back on. When I park it and run the car parked with the A/C on high it does not cool when its there idling. When I get it going down the road again its like ice cubes coming out of the vents! Any ideas guys??? Some switch or something else? Trying to beat the HEAT!!! Much appreciated Blair...
  9. I have the same manual. And you are right. It does not give adjustments. But on the tps it has a slotted hole on top and one on the bottom for critical adjustment >>> I think!.... Other wise wouldn't you just have 2 holes for the mounting screws and not slotted?
  10. Could someone please tell me the correct procedure for reinstalling the TPS. I took it out and was cleaning the intake and am not exactly sure how to readjust this to the correct position. It has slotted holes on the tps and maybe a picture would solve the problem or maybe the correct procedure as to where it sits in relation to the screw holes on the intake. Thanks Blair...
  11. Thanks alot guys. I took the IAC apart with some difficulty and time as it was a BITCH to get it out. It was stuck or just about. It was gummed up and didn't slide correctly. She's up and running now. Thanks all. Blair......
  12. Hi there guys and thanks. The gas filter is only about 3000 k old and the mornings are warm in Ontario right now, but this studder thing is only happeneing sometimes cold mornings or not. If the pump was on the way out do you think that this would be going on intermittenly for the past few months? I've still got to try the injectors as well. I also feel a sputter SOMETIMES around 80 kms. on the hwy, but not all the time...
  13. 330000 kms on the ole girl and I do all the regular maintenance. The past while it has been stalling at stop signs. The engine is warm normal temp, and this stalling does not always occur. So I just clik it into neutral and rev it a bit and it clears itself. Then clik it into drive and im on my way till the next stall or not. There is no service engine light coming on even though the bulb is good and checks out on startup. Any ideas guys???
  14. Thanks to all who replied to my last post!!! Well here it is... My beautiful little 95 Pathfinder has got a bad case of cancer underneath in places. I live in northern Ontario where they dump all kinds of salt on the roads and this is the end result. After years of spraying it underneath it has come to this. Dooes anyone have any advice or ideas on how to repair this, as my pathy has 330000k on it and it's solid throughout everywhere else on the truck except this area. I saw another at the wreckers last weekend with the same problem, except buddys axle came right off on both sides of his truck and crashed. So needless to say I do not want that to happen to me. So any replies with this matter would be much appreciated... Thanks Blair...
  15. Driving the 1995Pathy/auto on dry pavement 70 kph the other day in 2wheel high like normal when I heard this clicking coming from what seemed to me to be the from the front left auto hub or diff. As I pulled it over and slowed down it did too. Just before I stopped the truck it clunked into place ( seemed to be trying to shift into 4x4 ) but I was not calling on 4x4. So I backup as though to disengage the 4x4 because it felt like it was on. I only heard a little clik. So onward I went, about 500 metres more then it happened again. When i pulled over this time I engaged the 4x4 and then i got home with no more problems and no more cliking or clunking. I am now in 4x4 and it works great but my tires do not like it and my pocketbook does not either. What would that be? I have another used autolocking hub that i'm going to try but other than that, all cv driveshaft boots are in great shape and its a definite 4x4 feel when it CLUNKS. PLEASE any help would be much appreciated... Blair...
