Nicely done. I was thinking of doing this myself. How sturdy is it? I would like to mount a 31 and a gas can or two.
-
Now if JGC springs fit the R50 with a seat adapter, would I be able to fit the Calmini 3" lift spings out of my 95?
-
Did you find the problem? Just picked up a 2002 and its making this noise. Want to nip it in the bud.
-
Can you post some pics when you get in there please?

The piece inside the tranny that contacts the switch has worn down. I had to do what another member (MY1PATH) did and I kept zapping little spot welds on the end of my switch button with my Mig welder. Works great now. The other alternative is to wire up a toggle switch to turn your reverse lights on when you are backing up. The negative to that is leaving the switch on.
Can you link the thread?

Just to get the stupid stuff out of the way: OD (on the shifter) is turned on? The 'OD off' on the dash isn't lit? Has it always done this?
I looked through the FSM, looks like page AT-62 is what you're after.
Yes, it's not the bulb. It hasn't always done this.
And thanks for the page reference.

Assuming you've made sure there are no codes, you are sure the lightbulb is not just burn out, and the transmission does not, in fact go into OD, you might want read below. I don't think there are any fuses for this...might be worth a check though.
Mine went so I had to take the shifter assembly apart. Wire disconnected there. It is a tiny wire running up the shifter. I guess 15 years of shifting were enough for that tiny little thing.
Find the interior section in the FSM and figure out how to disassemble the centre console. If theWD21's are the same as the R50s in this regard, you should see a little wire running up to the shifter column then up the shifter.
In mine, it came undone right at the button. I am guessing the same could happen to yours; either came undone right at the button, or at the base. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I am not familiar with the WD21's.
Still haven't had the time to check for any codes. I'll have to take a look at this, as I dissasembled my center console sometime ago. Thanks for the headsup.

I have no problems with the transmission, but I have no overdrive. Since it's an electronic overdrive, i thought some of the wiring is shot somewhere. But where do I look?
I still have to check if the trans. is throwing any codes though.

Better late then never. Still wrapped in plastic too.
As much as I'd like to sell them, knowing that they're hard to get now makes me want to keep them even more. Sorry.
They'll go on sooner or later. Hopefully later this year.

I hate to say it, but I still haven't put mine in yet. I can take some pics and measurements later if you want.

Put the lower links in first, and attach the upper links just to the axle. Put a bottle jack (factory jack) between the pinion and the upper crossmember of the frame, when you extend the bottle jack while lining the bushings up with the upper mounts, it'll push the upper trailing arms right into the brackets .
I tried something like that. Worked well. Each trailing arm got easier to do.
There's a HUGE difference in how it drives now. No more wobbling all over the road. Now I have to do the lower control arm bushings.
-
I'm working on changing all the rear trailing arm bushings. I got the poly spit bushings. The old bushings were so worn, when I went over bumpy roads past 70kph, the ass end would sway back and forth.
The trailing arms are a pita to get back in though.

Replace the cluster. Solved all my problems.

My first name backwards.
-
I both of your gut's points, but my Tbars are cranked so the compression rod is at a more downward angle and putting more stress on the bushing. Putting the rod on top of the LCA would put it back to more of a stock angle.
I don't think I'll do it, but just wanted to see if anyone had done this before or if would work.
-
To ease the angle of the compression rod on a lifted Pathfinder, has anyone bolted the compression rod to the top of the LCA instead of uder it? I will changing my compression rod bushings this weekend and I would like to know if its safe to do.
-
I tried a lot of different things, but the only way I could fix my problem was to replace the cluster.

Cool. Another local boy!

I'm not on facebook, but I'm always game for something.

I had speedo issues too. I ended up changing the speed sensor with a new one and I still had the same problems. I ended swapping my cluster from one from a wrecker and everything was fine. Even my tach started working. Could be your cluster is bad.

Leaf fan. Have been all my life. One day.....
Oh, Yendor, the thread is about hockey, not soccer!
I like the Leafs too, I just hope that they'll field a real NHL team someday.
I like all the Canadian teams, except for Calgary.

That's the one I have. It seems to be the cheapest option out there. Or just go to a junk yard and get the tube there.
-
Die hard Canucks fan. Chicago looks like they are really going to be good this year and the same with LA.
Vancouver needs to add some more grit, which they have a little. They got pushed around too much in the playoffs by Boston.

Hey man. Good to see another local guy on here. I saw your posts on the bc4x4 site too. Truck looks good.
**shameless plug** I have JGC coils if you want some.
If a smaller SFD was available...?
