  1. You could have some moisture that got into the unit. My wife drove too fast thru some deep water that came thru the hole in floorboard where the pedal is. I took it apart and found moisture in it, so I used a hairdryer to dry it out and put it back together and siliconed the holes and it works just fine.

  3. My wifes 1990 XE 4WD makes a loud clunk when engaging drive. I have never noticed this occuring when reversing! Could it be a loose engine mount, or is it a transmission problem? Thanks for any advice on this.:help:
  4. Years ago when I was a kid, we had a tiny leak in the gas tank of our 1958 Vauxhall and my Dad used a steel metal screw coated with an two tube adhesive like JB Weld with a little extra hardner and a fiber washer. We owned the car for about 15 years after the repair and never had a problem.
