the "same as OME" and "they are the OME" may be the difference in wording you're looking for.

NGK is backwards. That's one range colder. You'd have to measure the depth etc to make sure it's ok. It's the same basic plug, but the EGP makes something different on it. Colder is ok if you beat on it. If you don't get it hot enough it will foul more quickly. I'd just order a set from somewhere else. Are you in canadia?

I've got an xe with the chrome tipped bumpers and lsd... It must have been a standalone option.
-
hmm, I've gotten off filters with channel lock pliers before. On the pathy that would be hard to do... I'd give that thing hell with the cap socket thing. If you didn't break it, you weren't trying hard enough.

meh, just grab one of those vg30dett's from japan, rip off the stock turbos, mount a single turbo in the back (ala gt30r), and you'll have crazy power all over for the 5k you would have spent on a 350. Lag won't be an issue.

WEIRD...my rig threw those two yesterday. It's not ELC...it's the evaporative system. Vatozone has a dumb scanner. I used my laptop. Mine showed up after taking the pathy swimming and washing it off. Ironically it showed up 3 days later.

I'm not sure aluminum is the best metal for suspension components...I'd be up for 3 pair.

That's my favorite place to get bends. 2.5 inch would be good for torque, 3 inch would help out the top end. There's a program around somewhere that could help determine the best overall length/diameter I think. AEM was actually able to get rid of some dead spots in my other car through their intake tuning...but the pipe was a hair too small for redline fun.
Oh ya, silicon couplers are all over ebay. You could also use some of that coast guard rated rubber hose that some auto parts stores have out back. It's a nice tough hose.

no, like the turbo seals blew out and lost all of that oil through the stack....and hopefully the driver caught it before the motor ran out of oil.

if you don't have emissions just block off the egr.

Get the JWT. JET doesn't know what the hell they're doing.

ya, they're about as effective as jet ecu's. oops...did I say that out loud?

ooh...aztek/rendezvous. That's a good one. Car frame with suv wannabe looks, and a PUSHROD V6 engine. WTF gm?

So what do you guys think is the most worthless pos ever? I'm gonna vote H2. I believe even a little nissan has more ground clearance than that Chevrolet Yukon(I just love the sound of that!) (<wtf is with that editing? lol.) with ugly body trim. It gets horrible mileage, has no worth offroad, can't haul anything, and usually only has one passenger. Useless? I think so!

well, the R50 needs 41 inch primaries to get the best midrange out of a header and still have a good top end. I don't care if it will bolt to the factory exhaust. It's all coming out anyway...
If they are close to fitting I'll just have the local machinist heat them up and bend them to clear stuff. I'm only going to run 1 cat...a big one.
I've come up with a few other header profiles that I can make myself, I just don't really have the time. I could go for big low end gains, midrange, or top end. The 41 inch design is the best comprimise I've come up with so far.

Just wondering because there is a plethora of early pathfinder headers available. What's the problem with them on the R50? Clearance? flanging? etc?

Hi 98silver,
Do you have the specs on the cams you installed? The duration may be part of the problem more duration = less vacuum.
The other thing is that it clacks like a train passing by this is more than likely due to the grind of the cam. I was talking to my cam specialist today as we are trying to nut out a decent spec for my cams. you have to have the rocker bars machined so the lifters sit a little lower. What I would say that is happening to yours is the lifter is losing contact with the cam and as the cam comes back around it gives it a decent hit therefore making the clacking sound.
I think that there is 2 different types of heads for our beloved pathy's one has cam blocks which need machining and the other you have to machine the rocker bars.
Once we have worked out our cam specs or you want a cam ground to your specs I can get them done here and freighted to your door for alot less than $500us
The s1 cam isn't a regrind though. Wouldn't the machining be required on a head usng a reground cam?

there's no way a treo draws 15 amps...

From my understanding a MAF equipped vehicle gets better emissions and control at lower rpms and part throttle conditions. Once it goes wot a map system works better. So I'm guessing there is a switchover point somewhere where the computer pays more attention to map. Good idea on nissan's part. Now to see what it does when pressure is applied...I hope it doesn't freak out and do something stupid.

oh...so it's just that caps that are from an xterra then?
-
I have xterra wheels on my truck (98) with 31's. Only rubs one of them up front...but that's because I bent something.

ok, so to the right of the engine and a little north of the intake box there is a little hitachi boost sensor. What is it for? For some reason I thought that R50's only used the maf for a/f calculations. I was originally assuming it was some kind of brake boost sensor or something, but it has metal lines that go to the intake manifold. Could someone clue me in on this thing? MAP and MAF could complicate things a little for me.

You shouldn't need to mess with your injectors or your fuel pressure. The pathy injectors are large enough and the safc should let you richen it up. Pull some plugs on the lean bank and post up some pics. The bank may not be lean at all and you could have an O2 sensor screwing up. There are no base maps in the safc. Base is no correction whatsoever. You can run it fine like that. Try richening up a few of the lower rpm points around idle up 5-10%. That should smooth out your idle. From there you're going to need a wideband to see what's really going on. Richening up is pretty safe so you can mess around with the whole rpm range. You have to get into the +25% range to wash out rings. I wouldn't lean at all without having a wideband hooked up and watching the knock meter.
-
So are you going to do the butt dyno tune or find someone with a wideband? Believe it or not, running lean (14.1:1) will make a lot of power NA. I'd shoot for a little lower like 12.5 for a nice safety margin. A hair less power, but it won't knock going uphill or get your EGT's roasting.

grab a multimeter and put it on AC setting and watch what happens on the power wire. It will miss bad while you do it, but you'll be able to see if it's electrical or the injector.
