  1. I just got a kill switch at good ol harbor frieght and I was wondering what you guys reccomend as far as wire gauge goes. I am not sure what guage is necesary to run from the switch to the batter. Thanks in advance.

  2. bmw...a very fine automobile. I owned one for about a month but was forced to sell it. 92 525i 5speed with 42k miles P.... When you do your manual swap, or anything for that matter, make sure you get an ecu code resetter. The ecu's on those things are a b!tch, they know every move you make.

  3. I cut a notch about the size of a dime in one side of the diamond-shaped plate that covers the clutch opening to fit various wires through. Over the years, I had run so many different "hot" wires through there, I eventually had to grind away part of the bracket that secures the Transmission Control Module.

Later, when I realized I had run so many heavy-gauge wires from the battery, I re-did the installation and ran a single 6AWG wire (with a 100-amp fuse) from the battery to under the dashboard. This large wire is now where I tap into for all of my accessories. I also continued to run this wire to the left rear compartment of the cargo area, where my roof lights and Alpine MRP F250 amp obtain "hot" power.

This is a great idea, but how to you connect wires from it? aka where can I get the distributor/fuse box that you use. Do you hust have a big eye hook and connect the wires that way? Thanks in advance.

  4. I received my Harbor Freight sales mag in the mail the other day and notice they have a OBD-II scanner for sale $ 39.99. I have never price one out before so I would assume this is a good deal. I think harbor freight is fantastic!!! I would not use their stuff to make a living but for tinkering around etc they are a god-send.

OBD II scanners are usually 150-800. I just go to autozone and have them do it for free :cool2:

  5. Thanks everyone! Nice to be welcomed. Am already empressed by the lil buger, 20 mpg! Thats SO much better than 5 mpg at 70 miles a day just for work! But no it is resally nice to drive, passed e test like a new car! I'm shocked by the room, I got bad bad tires though, a freind gave me some 31's think they"ll fit?

You must have had one of those buggers that if you leave it running and start filling it at the pump, you would be there all day
