  1. Yeah... The two teens were in the cargo hold. Still went up those steep steep hills with ease.
  2. Hey all, I have not posted here in quite a while. Not since I sold the Pathfinder some 14/15 months ago for a Maxima. Anyways, I took a vacation to the Dominican Republic (home country) and borrowed a Diesel 98 Terrano. This thing was a beast, I felt bad about having sold the Pathfinder. Anyways, on my last weekend there I took a trip to the mountains that was just INCREDIBLE. I loaded the truck with 7 people. 4 adults, 2 teens and a my 7yr old and headed out. This thing did not flinch. I was unable to take pics of the really tough places cause I was more preoccupied but this pics should show what I went through. I'm telling you this thing on 4LO and the rear diff locked is just another vehicle. Unbelievable the places I took it. Anyways here are the pics. FYI, as soon as I came back I sold the Maxima and am awaiting delivery of a 2008 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. Pics: A nice waterfall we found on the way: The only other way to get around other than a tough 4x4 Not sure if you can see the trail in the background
  3. I'm saying... Love the Max, but I was at this state park the other day. I could have driven straight to the lake to fish. But noooo... I gotta park 1 mile away and walk the rest of the way, because there is no way the Max can make it through that freaking nasty trail.... 94-95 would be more money. Looking to spend 1-2k... Let's see the need is not pressing, it will something where I look and look till I find the right one.
  4. Here is a pic of what she was... Maybe I should have never dug up that folder.
  5. Well., I have been missing my pathfinder alot lately. Don't get me wrong I love driving the Maxima, but the Pathfinder gave me a feeling of roughness I no longer have on the Max. A feeling of I could care less where I go cause my vehicle will take me there in any weather condition. Oh well., what can I say... Sadness and regret is what I feel. I think its time I buy a beater. I though about buying a pickup, but figure an older Pathy might serve the same purpose. What do you guys think? 91-92 4x4 5spd. Can the rear seats be taken off and the whole back be made of rugged plastic to haul stuff? My next car will once again be a rugged SUV... Not because I need it, but because I like the way it makes me not care about where I go. Maybe that sounds gay. Just venting...
  6. That happened to me once and it was my alternator...
  7. Love that feature. Have only had it in my last two cars, Pathy and Max. Don't know how I lived without it. Fix it.
  8. Well.., been proved wrong. RWD VQ35 have the issue as well. 350Z Oil Consumption
  9. Check on Maxima.org... I spend alot of time there.
  10. A new oil burning fellow showed up today. Lost 2.5 quarts in 2 months. I think it might be more a Maxima thing. I guess different implementations. My old R50 did not burn and it was a VQ35 and you are hearing nothing of this with the RWD implementations like the Infiniti's..
  11. Well... you know I got a Maxima. Got an 01 and sometimes glad. Because they are alot of people with the VQ 3.5 on the 02-03 Maxima's with oil consumption, SOME massive. Nissan has even changed out a few of the Motors. Makes me happy I got the VQ 3.0... But sometimes wish I would of spent the extra couple of k... for the more power. But oh well.
  12. Well., glad I sold mines when I did.
  13. I ordered from http://www.myoilshop.com/ and they were great... All they sell is RedLine though. I changed the oil on my MT (not a Pathy, a Maxi),. The car shifts so much smoother now... It is just incredible how smooth it is.
