That is a great reply to the situation. I mean no ill will when saying this, but I have no idea what you just said means. I appologise. Are there factors leading to his problem or is it an easy fix. Again, I appreciate your help SOOOOO very much, but I have no idea what you just said.

I just had the exhaust replaced (cat back) about 1200 miles ago. Shop said cats looked good (but looks may be decieving) Could something the muffler shop did cause this to happen? The light did not come on right after I left the shop, more like 6 weeks later. I'm trying to give you the situation that led up to the ses light coming on. New exhaust, old cats.

Hey everyone. I had my SES light come on, took it to Advanced auto parts to run a free check and this is how it came back word for word. DTC (Codes) P0430 Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2) DTC Pending (Codes) P0420 Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) :help: Can someone tell me what these codes mean? My truck is driving fine. No shakes, sputters or surges. At first I thought it may be the gas cap since there were no signs of the truck running funny. I called Nissan to see if it would be a warranty issue, currently at 98K and I have until 100K for warranty. He said they would have to run a diagnostic test, if it was a covered part-no charge, if it was not covered-79 bucks for the test plus part plus labor. Can someone help me out? I'm in no situation to throw cash at the dealer right now. Thanks!!!!!

If you go with the OME Springs HD- front, med-rear, and KYB GR-2 shocks and struts, can you go with anything bigger than 255/70/16? I have 16's NOT 15's. Thanks!

Hey everyone. Happy Mom's Day to all the ladies that would apply too. Anyway, I have a question. I was looking at the stock specifications on the height the truck should be and I'm a little under. My question is how much is too much before I should look into new shocks/struts/springs. My front is 3/8" lower than specs and the rear is 11/16" lower. This is with the vehicle empty of stuff in the back that may weigh it down. Also full of fuel. Are these numbers any indication of wear? I have 98K on the stock components. Thanks!

I've read on here that the 265/70/16 would fit. That is a big concern for me as well. I don't want to get in there and roto-zip out any plastic in the wells, or have it hit the strut. Anyone know for sure it that size would rub? If so, I guess 255 will be the next best option. Anyone know if the KO's or the Revo's hold and throw rocks? I know with an open tread tire it can be an issue, but is one better that the other?

I'm looking at getting some new rubber. Going with 265/70/16, no lift mods. My question is this. I don't do a lot of off road stuff. I go mountain biking and ocassionally that will take me to some interesting locations, piece of cake stuff for most of you out there. I will use it around the farm and take it camping. Nothing extreme. Which of the two would you use and why? Any highway advantages to one over the other? Also, is there something along the same lines that I should also look into? Looking for some advise from the wise. :help: :gossip:

Good luck with the pinstripe. It's obvious that some members feel that anyone with only a few posts on here is an idiot. It's sad that some members will crack the whip as if their ideas are the only good ones, and brush off the newbie's ideas. I don't care how you fix your truck, but when someone offers up an idea to fix a situation that they had problems with themselves and someone else offers an idea that is easy, quick and did not damage their vehicle, I think I would chose the latter. Just me.

Use the goo gone trick. The remover will not be on the paint long enough to do any damage. That's also why I recommended Dawn. That stuff will remove any remaining goo gone (and maybe some wax) Then re-wax the area you washed. I would be more nervous to use a rotary device, other than a buffer wheel, on my paint. That's just me. I've done my way, it works, and... IT'S QUICK!!!!!

That is an Oil Cooler. I know because I just had my replaced by the dealer today. Warranty!!

Your best bet is the goo gone. This is what I did and it worked just fine on my 01. Take a hair dryer and heat up a little section after applying some goo gone to it. The heat will make the sticker softer and less likely to break as you pull. Once you get the pin stripe up, take more goo gone and rub the area to remove extra adhesive. Then wash the area with a good soap like dawn to remove the goo gone and re wax the area where the pin stripe was. 30 minute job max!

I am looking to replace the factory shocks/ springs and struts with aftermarket items, but I do not want to lift the truck. Any suggestions on what's available out there to use? Pros/cons.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any comments on a replacement exhaust. I see there have been a few lookers. Please, any suggestions or comments about this topic would be appreciated. Thanks! :help:

Most citrus degreasers do not need to be rinsed. They actually work better when not rinsed because the oils in the cleaner act as a protectant against corrosion. Spray and wipe clean. Done.

Some cleaning agents do not need to be rinsed. Rinsing afterwords would cause rust. Some need it, some don't.

Do I need to rinse everything off with a hose when I'm done with the cleaner? Also, is this done to a hot engine or a cold one? Thanks!

Hey everyone. I am looking to clean the engine compartment on my 2001 3.5 Pathy and I'm not sure how to start. With all the electricals under the hood, I don't want to short something out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this and what chemicals to use? Thanks

The "BOSE" System in my 01 is actually a Clarion head unit. I know this because I had to pull it to fix the annoying 6 disc changer. If you have the 6 disc changer, MAKE SURE YOU PUSH A NUMBER ON THE CHANGER BEFORE YOU LOAD A DISC!!! My wife did not do this and Nissan was going to charge me $1,100 to replace it because a disc got stuck and the typical ERROR message displayed. I pulled the unit, pulled the disc out with tweezers and now everything works fine. Just be carefull.

Hey everyone. This is my first post to the forum and I have a question. I am looking to install a new exhaust system on my 2001 3.5 4X4 Pathy from the cat back and I was looking at the Bosal system. Does anyone know of this product? Good/Bad comments appreciated. Also, anyone go with a different exhaust system that they would recommend. Even custom jobs. I'm looking for something a little beefier as far as sound goes. I know there won't be a huge performance gain, but maybe a minimal one. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!
