It slowly moves to one side when I let go of the wheel. The tires are wearing pretty even. Since the ball joints, I have heard, wear in these vehicles I would like to know if there is a "do it yourself" test to see if they are alright?

It is freezing here in NY so next week I am putting my Pathy in the shop for a tune up. I have one problem, the steering wheel shimmys' slightly at low speed(15-30 mph)Just wanted to know if thats' my ball joints, I need tires, or could it just be an alignment? I let go of the wheel and it gradually goes to one side.

Thanks very much, everyone on the tire question! I have one more stupid question. You know that picture of a shock absorber on the middle console in a '95 Pathy? One setting is for 4 wheeling and one is for highway drivin'. Does anyone notice a difference when changing settings? I don't !!!

People. I have a SE-6 1995 Nissan Pathfinder that is stock! I need to know what tires would be the best recommended for 4 wheeling mainly on beach sand because I am a surf fishermen! I also would use the tires for light 4 wheeling in the woods. (going over downed small trees, small boulders) I am in the market for 4 new tires in the next 3 weeks! Don't want to exceed $110, apiece!

Folks, the 3/8" tubing from the Aquarium store worked out just great! What I did was measure how long I needed it and cut it that long. Then I cut it length wise. Put an adhesive all over the shaft, put the plastic tubing around the shaft. Painted adhesive on the slit that I made lengthwise put it on the shaft and wrapped twine tightly around the plastic for 1/2 hr. Took twine off, and now everything is beautiful!!!!!!

I went to the Aquarium supply store and got 3/8" tubing. I cut that to the desired length and then cut it in half length wise. Painted some Aqua Seal(crazy glue, anything that adheres to metal and rubber)After painting some glue to the lengthwise cut I made I put some twine around the rubber that I cut while it was around the 1" metal latch piece. The length wise cut sealed with the glue on it. I took the twine off and BRAVO! It worked! Don't know how long but.....,

I was thinking of painting a little Aqua Seal used to repair fishing waders. It is like epoxy! I'l get back to ya'!

Oh yeah, it's closing, but it's a new thing to me. Just started 2 days ago and I'm just worried that I'll me making a hard right turn and the thing will open and do damage to the car next to me. You know, like a self proclaimed demolition derby!

I keep getting the red light on the dash telling me my tire carrier is open. Problem is the plastic/rubber cylinder that is around the shaft that the tire carrier latch grabs onto, has worn out and I had to pull it off because it was just hanging on. I wrapped twine all around the shaft in place of the plastic/rubber cylinder but it really only works sometimes. Anyone had this problem and what did ya' do to rectify?

I just joined the forum 2 days ago and came upon a discussion about stickers that go on the front windshield and back window. The post I punched up was asking people what they thought of the style. I then saw a few rigs with the stickers on them already. I would like to know if their are any stickers presently available and how much are they? Thanks! :help:

Hi! This is my first post. I just bought a '95 Pathfinder SE 4 months ago from a reputable used car lot in my neighborhood. It didn't come with an owners manual which can bring about some problems. Can anyone direct me to a place were I might purchase one? I went to my local Nissan dealer and called Nissan on the phone. They both told me that '95 was a bad year(mechanically)for this vehicle and that is why Nissan hasn't kept up with the printing of the manual! I called an 800 # and the person there told me that a manual would cost me $25 because they would manually have to copy each page and staple them together. Anyone have any fixs'?
