  1. hey guys, I've searched but didn't find to much. I'm hoping to take our stock 99.5 Pathfinder offroading, not serious technical trails obviously, something pretty mild where I can still have fun and get the truck dirty. I don't mind a drive but don't want to go to far. I was thinking stave lake, but I'm not sure where the trails are and what the difficulty would be like. I'll be looking to purchase a backroads map soon, just wondering where to get one. Anyways, I've read the beginners tips for prepping your vehicle for trail use. All tips will be greatly appreciated. I'm located in Southeast Vancouver, willing to travel a bit though... Thanks, Brendan
  2. Get the new 5.0 from infiniti outta the FX50....ahh I dream haha. That or a VQ35HR would be insane!!
  3. fisherdude can you post more pics of your pathy?
  4. thank you, straight and to the point.
  5. saw that but it doesn't really have a solution to it other than going with a bigger wheel. I'd like to keep it to 15 if I can but I guess I can't.
  6. wow they make some amazing looking rims! So if you have a 2" lift and you were to get a set if 32s. What would the ideal rim width be and backspacing? I'm asking about 1999.5+
  7. you're half on my side. I like all "my" or "our" cars detailed. I just finished waxing my moms G35 and now each car has 2+ coats of collinite 845
  8. The car is going to be stored again till December so I decided to give it a nice detail before it goes back. By the time I get my hands on it I may have the funds to do that, so I may end up leaving the ugly tailpipe as is for now as it won't get much worst in a dry garage. So once I get it I'm throwing a hitch on it and possible replacing stock muffler with one of those.
  9. LOL, I just wanna get it fixed because the exterior looks mint except for that. And being a detailer, I want to keep the exterior as perfect as possible. It's already wearing 3 coats of Collinite 845. I just wish I got before and after pics after I detailed it but I didn't.
  10. Doesn't sound to bad, I'll take a look locally then. I just wanted to know what the best solution was. I don't want the rust to spread any further.
  11. hey guys, Got the Pathfinder over and gave it a good detail. Didn't take before and after pictures but trust me, it's lookin fine! Anyways, the exhaust is rusting quite a bit and I don't know what to do with it. Whether to put on a tip or to get it cut and weld on another longer tip. I took some pics because the pictures will explain it a lot better than I can. Anyways, if you guys could let me know what the best solution would be it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Brendan
  12. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, it's recommended to get a set of Warn hubs, it saves wear on CV Boots and helps with gas mileage
  13. yeah definitely, i just cant wait to get a hold of the R50!
  14. haha no way! Tessa, she's my sisters friend/family friend...guess I don't have to give you any food recommendations than haha
  15. ah nice, my friend works as a hostess at the Cactus Club there, they have the best beef-dips there. Good to know theres members close by. I'm super close to Fraserview Golf Course, a bit further west of it (if by any chance you feel like stalking me)
  16. nah I'm in Southeast Vancouver, thanks for the welcome
  17. hey, how do you figure? I always thought it was a 99, what are the main differences? I guess I need to make a whole new list now! And yeah haha I ride, mostly do trails...well thats all I do
  18. Thanks, I look at the theft in two ways though. A. We're stuck with the car and couldn't sell it for $9000 when they offered us $14,500 B. I get a freaking sick truck! Anyways, I need the truck primarily for hauling this up to Whistler and to the mountains in the summer! ... before I get called a brat, I actually paid every penny for this bike.
  19. Parents don't pay for private school for no reason I guess haha. Thanks for the welcome. The Pathy is in my uncles garage right now sitting and un-insured. He's out of the country for probably 10.5/12months so thats why I'm getting it as well. But he's back in a few weeks and since he's been gone I heavily got bitten by the detailing bug. So when he's back I'll get him to bring it over and I'll detail it so it's ready to be stored. I'll get some new pictures then, but in the meanwhile here are some pictures from a year and a half ago.
  20. I've read over this whole thread, skimming through some. But I read it for the most part. I read a lot of you guys choosing Rancho 9000 struts(or shocks, noob question can somebody tell me the diff.?) anyways, on 4x4parts I read a lot of people recommending Bilstein for the better ride, and better quality. For those that have tried Bilsteins, how do you like them?
  21. haha thanks. I've been e-stalking you're ride... Was about to say you, but that would come out wrong haha. Anyways, love your R50, what you have done is pretty much exactly what I want done to mine. Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome!
  22. hey guys, Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Brendan and currently am a highschool student going into grade 12 starting September. I've been interested in cars for a couple years now, unfortunately none of my friends are into cars/trucks. I guess you can say that I've had phases in what I was interested in. I started actually reading up on cars a couple years ago when I saw an STI that caught my eye in front of my house. So I started researching those, and from there I started reading about G35s as my mom was looking into them, and then from there here I am now researching about R50s. My uncle has a 1999 Pathfinder LE in which I will be inheriting. The Pathfinder was stolen two years ago around October. The insurance company was ready to make an offer for $14,500. They called but my mom didn't pick up so they left a message. The following day my mom called and they found it, I guess you can say it was both good and bad. Anyways they found it a ways away with the windows down and the interior had been soaked. We were planning on selling it again but can't get rid of it. So my uncle said that I can keep it for my first call. I told him I would gladly take it, but in Canada our "Learning Drivers" stage consists of an L and an N stage. For the L stage you can't drive without a parent beside you, so it's no biggie. I get my N in December so once I get that then the Pathy is mine! My plans are: -2" AC Lift -31" AT Tires -2" Class III Hitch -Warn Hubs -Magnaflow Exhaust System Anyways, thanks for reading my novel I can't wait to get my hands on the pathy and take it off-roading! Thanks, Brendan
