  1. that is so odd. well even if you find it online the downfall of most part stores is their own part listing databases. generally if you can take them a part number they can and usually will get you that part. I work part time at Advance Auto here in VA and many times our computer system says we do not have it, but when i cross reference a part number (especially for plugs) we usually have them in stock. If you have an advance auto up near you, I know they can get you (and should have on the shelf) NGK Iridiums, and can order you some NGK wires.

  2. The one that responded to ana ttack on our homeland or the one that has me paying hundreds of dollars less in taxes than before his administration?

Ok let me ask you this. How do you expect our government to actually make money? Lower taxes so we can just what? Print more money to pay for this "conflict" we are in? Print money to help pay for the future of our country's (the childrens) education? Where are we supposed to find this money? How can we have a supportive government that does not have a way to generate money for itself? Please tell me how that is supposed to work.

One policy i would have liked to see work in the Bush administration was the no child left behind act, but what that did was promise funding from the national gov't, which never went through, so the states gov'ts adjusted their budgets accordingly. But that money never arrived, we got into a meaningless war and the money that was allotted for the policy dried up, and so the schools took the hit. I saw this a lot locally talking to local officials and could see programs that had to be cut in our schools three or four years ago and have yet to have the money supplied to them to bring these things back.

  3. I have one question for the Americans on the board (the majority of you). Can he do worse then the previous regime?

My personal opinion, again, as someone outside your country, is that he'll be a good president, IF he survives. He seems to have the same charisma and intelligence as Kennedy and Clinton, and should curb the world's view that your country is run by a dumb redneck (Bush).

It would be sad, not just for him, but for the US as a whole if he is killed. It would set you guys back 100 years.

Thank you, this is exactly how I feel. Our country as a whole needs to regain some of its respect (towards who is leading our country) back that was lost while Bush was in office. He is a wonderful orator that can hopefully accomplish some of what he preaches. I dislike it when people make comments about finding his "magic hat" because without it he wont be able to make good on all of his outlandish promises, but I ask you, did he always say he was going to accomplish them in his 4 years? No. He always said we need to get the ball rolling towards these solutions, he never said "magically" it was going to happen in his four years, he mainly projected 8 to 10 years, which I think is realistic.

As far as being upset about the redneck comment, no need to get upset about it JM, its a common title he receives from people in other countries, and I personally think how could they think otherwise? He isnt a good public speaker, he normally comes across as knowing nothing (even if that is not the case) being just a "dumb redneck puppet" for the rest of his administration to puppeteer around. So overall I think Obama is a good change, even just a face change and hopefully he will be able to get something accomplished with a Dem. Senate and House.

  4. The rebuilds don't necessarily work well or long. As for auto to manual swap, no, it's not THAT hard. A lot of work, yes... You really need a donor vehicle though or you will get nickel and dimed to death. I just bought another 95xe and this one is an auto that has been rebuilt. Do I trust it?

    NO!!!

I'll be pulling the manual tranny from the old 95 and setting it aside along with everything else required (Petal assembly, MC, lines, slave cylinder, drive shaft, clutch parts, flywheel, shifters, console, etc)

    B

why are you setting aside the drive shaft?? they are the same auto to manual...so are the t-cases....

  5. Im not going to sit here and tell you it will be easy, but it might be easier if you just used your transmission (manual) and put in the super charged 3.3 (and all the electrical involved in that) which I am not to sure of. it will be a pain, but less of a pain if you kept your 5 speed

  6. at the moment i dont have any place to work on your pathy down here either. if i had more time or was able to call a couple days off work i would be glad to do it. but honestly i dont even want to get your hopes up because I am so busy and i feel like if i tried to work it all in, i would just be wasting your time. sorry. If anything comes up (like a place to do actually work on it, AKA a garage space opens up) i will let you know via PM. sound good?

  7. I beg to differ :stickwack:

how do you beg to differ? if you dont stick with a Dana axle driver drop, then yes, major fabrication is needed in the drivetrain area.

  8. so you got a U100 axle? chev outers?

ah sorry i didnt see this. i got a HP 44 out of a late 70s (77-79) ford f150 and yea, chevy outers

  9. no the battery does not have a reserve. when the alternator dies your car will just be running on the batters power. Once the battery goes dead so will your car. Sometimes the dummy lights (brake and battery light) dont come on because they did not sense the drop in voltage and wont alert you to the dead alty. So you can be driving around on just battery power for a little bit and then when that goes your car will "peter out and die"
