  1. You should be able to find an ECU from a wrecker for a lot less than that! They're real easy to get out, just take out the pass. seat (4 bolts) and it's right there.
  2. Bloody HOSER you spell it like T-O-Q-U-E !!
  3. What I ended up doing was boiling the kettle and pouring it in with some mother's chrome polish the shook it up for a while rinsed it out and left it in the dishrack to dry out. It came out like brand new! Thanks for all the suggestions
  4. That's pretty much what I thought I'd have to do. I was hoping I could get away with not having to take the whole assembly out. Thanks
  5. Hey Guys, quick question My passenger side headlight has a dirty appearance (not so much dim) so I thought I would take it out and clean it up inside and reinstall. I noticed what looks like clips holding the glass to the grey plastic body of the headlight assembly. I carefully popped the clips off thinking I would just clean the inside of the glass and polish up the inside of the reflective back. Now what I need to know is how to seperate the two halves, after getting the clips of it seems the glass is glued to the grey plastic back half. Is this the case? Because I didn't want to pry the thing apart fo fear of breaking something. If anyone else has tried this I'd love some input....................
  6. After trying to get to the switch at the pedal for about 20 minutes I realized that the plug going to the switch wasn't plugged in !!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday I couldn't spell backyard mechanic, now I are one
  7. I changed out the bulbs for new ones, and checked the sockets for corrosion , I'm pretty sure it's the switch at the pedal. I'll have to pull it out to check it I guess.
  8. I just went through the exact same problem, it sounds like your headlight/turn signal switch. you need to get into the column and remove the two brass coloured screws holding the switch on, then remove tha thin plastic cover on the bottom of the switch to reveal the copper contacts, you can try playing with them to get them to make proper contact but I ended up just going to the wreckers and getting the whole assembly and it fixed it. Hope this helps
  9. Cheers, I just bought a 95' Pathy SE, thanks to all the info from you guys I've pretty much got all the lights working by changing out the headlight switch assembly. Now I've got no brake lights, my question is does this cicuit get it's power from the turn/headlight switch also? All the lights work, turn signals, dash, hazards, daytime all work perfect, but no brake lights. I tested the sockets and I have power to the tail lights but no brakelights ( when pedal is pushed ). I was thinking it's the actual switch at the pedal, is this another common weak spot? I just thoght I'd ask before I start taking stuff apart because I can't really get under there without removing it to test it. Oh yeah, I've checked the fuse panel and everything there seems to be good. Please Help.
