I felt the same way. 'Course it took me needing to do exhaust research to get back in here. Great folks on here still. I'm in the same boat, trying to decide how much to invest or go into debt again on a car loan, yikes....

I'm trying to replace the fuel filter and I can't get the lines off. The best I can figure are some vice grips to twist the lines off but it seems like it'll rip the hoses, and I don't want that.

The wifey and I are heading your way some time this summer (hopefully) for a change of scenery and to get the hell out of King County. Who lives in the area?

Hmm. . your ideas are intriguing to me. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

You'll be safe now, friend! The men in the white coats are coming!
Ah. Finally. Now I can rest at ease. You must have been receiving my "messages..."
Damn, that almost cost me a laptop.
Minor update. No new fires, but there was a grizzled old hobo hitch-hiking in front of our house last night. WTF? There are no hobos in frigging Covington.
Time to dig in.

haha, you live in the middle of an FBI stronghold there pal....... arm yourself!!!!!!!!!
Haha. already done.

In the past week there have been two house fires with in 1/4 mile of each other and within spitting distance of my house. If you drew a line between the two my house would be about dead center between them. The "A" on the map. In fact, while the fire burned yesterday (the lower left house) I heard several loud BOOMs and saw flames shooting up above the trees.
I have also had strange vehicles pulling into my driveway to use it their own little turn-around point. I've never seen anyone do that. Yesterday it was a Z06 Vette and today some weird woman in a mid-90's Malibu with US Gov. plates, twice!

Whoa, dude!!! Married and TV in the same month!! You are going down hill fast. DOOMED, I SAY, DOOMED!!!
Ok, can't help with anything else; no TV here for, eh, 15 years. shrug.gif Still battling against the marriage thing too..
Helpful? No. Bloody hilarious? You betcha!
I think we decided to go with Compost for the TV. People had few good things to say about the DTV/Qwest partnership

I've finally snapped and decided to get TV again. HD mumbo-jumbo is not a concern as we've got CRTs still and we're not planning to upgrade anytime in the foreseeable future.
Second, we don't care about DVRs or HDDVR or any of that business.
The house is wired for cable already and the father-in-law/landlord doesn't want any more wiring going on. I noticed that there is a big long piece of co-ax coming out of the corner of the house with a kind of male connector I've never seen before. Could that be for a dish?
Whichever we pick, the cost to us will be about the same, give or take a couple of bucks.
So lets hear the horror stories, lets see the shot up cable boxes or dishes taken to the skeet range.

If Vancouver WA, drive to the other Vancouver!
Hey! We were the original Couv, by the way. Plus there are far too many Canadians in that other Vancouver.
Just stay away from Granville. We took a high school trip there and it was nothing but hookers and crack heads....unless that's your thing, in which case, have a ball in Granville!

I think its great that the thread asked for the ladies to sound off and so far its one big sausage fest.

Thanks for the kind words all. The honeymoon was great. 1 week in Jamaica (see my "just dodged Fay" thread)
Yeah buddy, it wasn't the same without ya. Anytime you make it over I'll have to show ya my new tool chest.

Hey welcome aboard. I graduated from EWU out in Cheney last year. I used to go to the ORV park at Riverside quite a bit, just gotta watch out for the dirt bikes
My good buddy Thomas (Casey.T on here) lives in Spokane. I think he even bought a Frontier not too long ago...
If you've got a VG problem, he's the guy to talk to.
Good luck to ya. I envy you living on that side of the state.

1. Lone Survivor by Marcus Latrell. Its about his SEAL training and the ill-fated mission in Afghanistan that killed his entire team. So far it is excellent.
2. The SAS Urban Survival Handbook - Kind of self-explanatory
3. Construction Framing - The father-in-law wants me to know something about it if I'm going to build a house with him

I'm gonna be helping my father-in-law build a house in a neighborhood with a HOA (Cherokee Bay in Maple Valley, WA). I really don't think they enforce the rules though. There area dozens of houses with boats, rv's, cars in the grass, two-foot tall weeds, tool sheds, crazy colored houses, open garages etc. etc.
He has 4 rentals in there right now in various states of repair and he hasn't been fined or given any warnings about anything. I guess it depends on the HOA you move into.
-
I'd check with the AZ laws and county/city statutes regarding HOAs and what power they really have. Like Slick said, some states allow them to impose fines on residents and do other vile things. You could be in for BIG headaches and other problems if you violate the CC&Rs etc.
If they don't have any true authority I say take the sawzall to the muffler and have a good ol time with that neighbor. Good luck

Would it be possible for the design to tie in the front corner posts to the center grill guard with a horizontal piece a-la ARB?

I just dealt with these yesterday. I used needle nose pliars. Grabbed them by the "pointy end" with the pliars and forced them into the grille. Then I gently twisted them with the pliars until they clicked back into place. Got all 4 back in intact!
