Ok, I'm too lazy to read it now, but did they state WHY ??
Are you serious? read the bloody article you may learn something. -argue-

I am just gonna quote this from another board where this came up:
American interiors, French reliability, and complex Japanese gadgetry. This looks like a win-win for everyone. Also AMC-Renault... Remember that?

I paid something like $85 CDN from a Nissan Dealer.
also try http://oxygensensors.com
Instead of WD40 clean it with brake cleaner.

I wheel because I love to challenge myself and my truck. I gave up on describing to non-wheelers how awesome WD21s are on trails and what I do with mine. Even most wheelers don't believe me what I put my truck through. This weekend I ran into a group of four trucks that were hitting my favourite trail. They had a Unimog, a Heep on beadlocked 37"s, a '52 Willys on 38"s and an early 4Runner on 35" Swampers. They had to tow the 4Runner out of the trail and they stopped right by my campsite to try to bring it back to life. They kinda knew me by reputation and I knew of them due to mutual friends. We got talking about how awesome that trail is and how sometimes it let's you pass it and sometimes you have to turn back with your tail between yer legs. When they asked me what I run the trail it with... I pointed at a stock WD21 nearby (not mine as I am still working on it) and said "that on 32"s"... they just gave me the "HOLY CRAP YOU'RE NUTS" look. Yea... I am a cocky bastard. sly

Call performance shops and get a price on custom or standard sized three core aluminum rads. They're NOT as expensive as most people make them out to be.
-
or maybe the secret service has intentionally sabotaged your CB in an attempt to electrocute you due to your political views
sssh His CB has been wiretapped.
-
What happens when you plug the antenna to the CB in first? Before pluggin' the CB to cig lighter?

Crappy Tire has free tool rental as well.

Yea.... it's the diff outta my truck that got welded up. I have no spares, but i'll be looking for an good price on an axle. I am not worried as junkyards are full of older pathies here. Anything blows and I'll have a new set within a the day if necessary.
-
Well... the diff is back all nicely welded up. No more spider gears!
-
He'll like it until he tries to parallel park on a hot day, heh. My old Impulse had a welded rear and it was interesting making tight slow turns. Sometimes it made the whole car hop a little.
Yea.... This is a third welded rear end in our little group of Nissan wheelers with three more at least coming up soon (not counting mine). I've driven the two of the ones that are welded and they're quite acceptable as soon as you remember to coast through anything resembling a turn. And yea... parking's a bitch. sssh
-
what did you do to your front diff???
I am doing nothing to the front diff... It's the rear one that just got welded. Lincoln Locker MotherSluters! sssh
-
Yea i called the service manager at my Nissan Dealer and he said they just cut those buggers off. sly I got my sawzall last night from my place.
Oh and my diff is ready for pickup.. I may have it tonight.

Yea i heard about this happening with AOL... members of another forum I frequent actually called in and recorded their account cancelling experiences and shared it with others... Pretty much the same stuff. Except much more R rated.

CLUTCH... nuff said! That's what I listen to when "trail riding"... When I go off roading the music is off however.

If you get a chance go see them live... they're absolutely fantastic.

Sign yer wife up for some advanced driving courses. It's money well spent. 99% of all drivers in North America have absolutely no driving education beyond what's (if) required for licence test. It's frightening but the lack of imagination and what to do behind the wheel is quite appearant in drivers these days.
Sorry to hear about yer pathy and family but facts are facts... People can't drive.
-
More like yer brother was the culprit..
CONGRATS!

Dropped the torsion bars yesterday.... and took off lots of other stuff around.
How the hell do I take out the pivot bolts... they're really seized.. I tried torch, liquid wrench... the heads are almost mushroomed from me banging at them with a sledgehammer.
Is there an easy way to this? Or do I just cut the bolts with a sawzall and worry about getting the parts of them out when the lower control arms are off the vehicle...
-
BTW, why did you let your alignment go for so long as to toast the tires? Beside rotating and slightly toasting them all, were you holding out for SAS or just too stubborn to buy beefier parts?
To be honest I have no idea. I have a custom L&P steering system and brand new balljoints and tie rods. So far, I was hoping that whatever i replaced so far was gona fix it... Quite honestly tires are actually cheaper than fixing Nissan front end.
EDIT: yea i am NOT bitter with Nissan and their crappy suspension design.
-
the trans temp gauge, are you going to drill and tap the pan?
Yes... may drop the pan today depending on how much I hate the suspension work.
-
I am gonna go to my Nissan dealer to press the old crap out. $30 is better than half a day of pain and suffering.
-
So I ripped the 3rd member out.
First the halfshafts are out
The driveshaft is disconnected
The bolts holding the 3rd are out and the third is loose
3rd is out!
There she is... Nissan/Hitachi H233B rear diff. 233mm = 9.2" or so ring gear diameter. This bastards strong.
Spider gears... what a goddamn useless invention.
The stock LSD is very good... 260+ ft/lbs breaking force unfortunately it's useless as soon as you lift a tire up off the ground.
So I am having a guy weld this sucker up. None of that on/off locker bull@!*% that can fail or needs maintenance. Lincoln Locker is the way to go. Plus you get to impress the FINE LADIEZZZ when you pull into a ricer meet chirping your tires as you make it into a parking spot. Booyaaa!
