  1. in terms of draining the transmission cooler how do u go about doin that on 1990
  2. as far as i know with the power switch it lets the gear change at a higher RPM than in the auto mode, normally when mine comes on i jus use the kinkdown switch to come out of it, but i has happened to me when i move off and when first gear revs above 2500rpm the light will come on and it well rev to about 3500 and it will change
  3. did u get to flush the transmission, prolly that my remedy the problem
  4. i can do the test but i dont have the tools to do it and its expensive to do it a garage worse the dealer. I wanted to re service again and see wat happen caus normally it starts to burn the oil when it wants to be serviced, and i wanted to change the plugs and the fuel filter
  5. Well I know in terms of the oil consumption I have to top up a qrt of oil like every week or so. I know the tps and idle sensor is working and I think the o2 should be working
  6. Good looking out, respect and thanks

  7. i did some tests on the ECM, in the mode to check the O2 sensor the sensor is working ok, the throttle position sensor is working fine and when i checked the air fuel mixture it is running lean, but i know tat my intake hose has crystallized rite after the MAF but i taped it over as the hose is very hard to find in Jamaica so will that cause the misfire and lean mixture. When i was testing the mixture u have to have the rev over 2000rpm it was missing like crazy and alot of blue smoke was coming off the exhaust. so would tat mean its running lean or rich
  8. oh ok thanks for the advice, i wiggled around the MAF wire and didnt notice any difference i started to wiggle the idle sensor tats the one near to the firewall on the left side and i noticed the rev getting smooth but it was idling high, does that mean the sensor is faulty
  9. i noticed on my 90 pathy SE when it is idling it is idling rough, and when you touch the accel. pedal the missing would get worse and the ECU green light would blink on and off. When drivin on the road the van would run really rich as the accelation would be very slow and there tends to be a lack of power. The only time when this lack of pwer disappear is when driving late at night when the temperture is very cool. An help on what could cause this would be appreciated
  10. oh ok thanks, for the edit
  11. black smoke is normally oil is being burned along wit the fuel so u shuld check ur head gaskets for any leaks there, caus if there is a leak it can cause a loss of power and poor performance, check it out and let me know
  12. there is a orange sticker at the top of the diff
  13. oh wow i definately have to check mine caus i see a burned spot on my carpet but it more in the center of the floorboard on my side
