  1. No...there has been very little political bashing of Canada.

No country is perfect, nor do I believe "mine" is. There's plenty that's screwed up about Canada. If V6 wants to get into it, so be it.

The ONLY thing that makes me see his point, at all, is the fact that the US makes the rest of the world THEIR business, even when it is not. The US is intrusive. So, the US's policies, while belonging to the US, do affect other countries FAR more than the policies of, let's say, Canada, or Australia, who tend to keep to themselves far more.

Australia would be perfect if the Anglo Saxons left. But that isn't going to happen any time soon. We have the worst record of any country with regard to the amount of extinct species of animals and plants. How good is that? What can we do in the next 200 years?

You have said what I have said, over and over, with regard to US policies affecting and infecting the whole of the world. Fortunately for us, Canada and Australia don't effect the world. Who knows, if our two countries were able to influence others the way that the US does, terrorism might be a much larger problem than the one created not just by the Bush regime, though he has sped up the process, but the whole US foreign policy in general.

May I expand on your comment about The US making the rest of the world their business? Some people don't know the extent or the level of.... to put this nicely..... interference, undermining and ousting of elected Governments, supporting and even sponsoring state terrorism??...I seems that I can't put it nicely at all.. I posted this link some time ago. It might explain a few things if you take the time to look through it.

It would, IMO, take a brave man to say he supports what has and is taking place in the name of the citizens of the USA.

  2. Spineless crybaby.

Bush, good, bad or otherwise is the elected leader of the country, until that changes, not much you can do but cry in your cheereos, get over it and vote in a year. Bush hasn't been the best pres. but he is a lot better than people give him credit for, and there have been much worse. At least he isn't getting hummers from some slut in the oval office.....Maybe that's why Hilary wants a shot, so she can have..... :ill:

Bush is the worst President in US history. No if but or maybes about it. This for a bit of humour.

It is truly amazing, the cries for impeachment of Clinton were so loud I could hear them from here. And all because he was enjoying a Cuban cigar. It is more amazing that you'd make such a point when the current regime illegally invaded a sovereign country and wants to attack another one. When the current regime has stripped away your civil rights. When the current regime can hold people without charge for as long as they like. When your current regime referred to (what was) your Constitution as "just a god damned piece of paper. Is perspective not a word in your vocab?

Who are you suggesting were the "much worse Presidents"? Not forgetting that Nixon's approval rating was never as low a Bush's.

  3.

    Bout time you get it.

Well you can view it as job creation too I suppose. Doctors, ambo's, police, clean up guys, mortuary workers, rehab workers and if course the jobs of the people that actually die, just to name a few. It is like perpetual motion.

  4. yes there was help from Oz and a few other countries. I didn't mean to say "nobody helped poor us".. but there was not the urgent response that is generally given by the US.

Over 90 countries helped out with Katrina. The response was overwhelming on a global scale. It just wasn't so important to Bush's regime. As to why that is, you'll have to ask them.

  5. would you expand on that as i can't read your mind. the part about turning down the german help is the truth so i am not sure what your beef is.. the other is my personal thought and i really don't get your response with respect to that, either.

and thanks for the suggestion but i think i'll stay here for now. :D

Why are just the Germans getting praise here. I know their help was knocked back but Australia helped out there too, as did a large number of other countries.

  6. I'd be looking at diff slop or the drive shaft. It is easy to check. All you have to do is (while the car is parked) get under it and move the drive shaft. If it moves more than a couple of mm then one of the two will be the cause.

  7. I'll have to admit, I did have a chuckle. Of course, there are plenty of sources that are further out there. It's tough to weed through the opinions and creatively collected facts (only select those that support your argument) in the media. I try to stay away from the civilian news agencies.

That's why Governments have data collection agencies. They all have a bureau of statistics. The data from these sources has been put up for all to see in other threads. Obviously opinions are still used as actual data in this one, so putting up facts again is pointless. :whocares: Let the carnage continue.

  8. I don't know to be honest. I think, in general, the rest of the world has a bad view of the US, and, I guess, Americans, simply because of the US's foreign policy. I don't believe that it's people disliking "Americans" as much as having a face to put their negative feelings towards, if that makes sense. For instance, you, being an American, living in Canada, get the displeasure of being the representative of the country that has done some, let's say, interesting things abroad. Does that make sense?

Spot on with the foreign policy point. Key word.. Foreign. But it is also an attitude on a personal level too Simon. One of of which is in full flight here at the moment.

  9. Thanks Steve. I knew you wouldn't let me down. heheheh

I'll be sure to check the link later today.

So you read that article then k9 and came to the same conclusion as I did? Fruit loop or what?

That's some pretty demeaning language used there from someone claiming to be an authority on the subject, wouldn't you agree? Seems all that education stands for nothing when you have a narrow mind set or tunnel vision. I mean to say, if he were meant to be writing an objective piece, then why was he so partisan?

  10. Don't remember you making that promise, and i did say i will steer clear...

I did not make a promise??? I asked you too, but here you still are........

I have not posted to anything you have writen in a long time.

OH, and yes you like drama. 95% of all your threads turn into rants by somebody.

one of the "somebody" that you talk about. Actually one of the main offenders. Why don't you take the time to look at what you write, then assess yourself!

YOU do nothing but start threads talking crap about politics and other contries. ( like the last 5 )

Build a bridge man. Or better still, you start one about another country. Namely mine. I don't think you know enough to do that though.

I read them, shake my head, and move on. I only replied cause whats his names statement made me laugh.

Why bother replying at all? Something or someone made you laugh?? It was that good you can't remember their name? Please. Correct me if I am wrong but your lame reply was nearly 2 weeks after the thread was posted. After the thread was locked because of immature behavior. You just couldn't wait for it to open again so you could lead the way and become that "somebody" to turn the thread to sh!t again. Could you?

The reason i'm not to active on this board anymore is because of YOU and some of the Mods. Every time i come in here and check.. "New posts" the tops ones are started by you and its all crap about how you don't like what somebody else is doing... so.. whats the point? I want nissan tech.. not BS.

I so happy to know that I have touched you. How about you post up something interesting at some stage if you don't like me posting up. I can then enter your thread with all the childish sooky baby intent that you do in mine. Wouldn't that be one for the books.

I can't belive that the mods let somebody from outside our country talk crap about our country and others. Its the principle of it all.

This is a forum for nissan lovers of all kinds. Not a place to say OH no.. Look at what the US did again.. join a political forum for that.

    I can't believe you can't spell believe.

And finally something we can agree on. To quote you directly.... This is a forum for nissan lovers of all kinds.

Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla.

This should read... Boo hoo boo hoo boo hoo shouldn't it?

Ok, i'm done.. i'll come back in a few months.

Cya. Oh, and merry xmas too. And please try to have a happy new year, it does seem that this one got you down a little and made you bitter and blind.

  11. So once @sspipes start running people over with trucks are we going to lose our trucks?

    or

@sspipes start drunk driving & killing many many more than guns; prohibition? It didn't work when they tried...

I keep my guns either way

    Are you OK?

  12. I agree with that (about the US gun ownership numbers), HOWEVER, my point was that gun ownership isn't the issue, and DOES NOT directly correlate with gun crime in all cases..

    For instance...

    http://www.bcwf.bc.ca/documents/s=401/bcw1187145477862/

No need to shout.... Anyway it was good that you put their opinions forward, but that's just what that was, a couple of people with an opinion.

Now how about some facts? Like the death rate that is falling (rapidly too I might add) in SA (is gun control starting to kick in??) or that Australia hasn't had a mass murder since the buy back. There are factual statistics from the other fire arms threads that you may want to look at, or you can go directly to the source.

SA will be a good topic for debate.. The crime rates are going up (petty crime with firearms) in some areas, while the murder rates are plummeting? Is that suggesting that less guns available to the populous is depriving murders of the preferred tool? I have not looked into it but it sure sounds interesting.

  13. Ever see the movie Red Dawn. if @!*% like that ever happens i dont want to be running around with a Boomerang!

A movie? What about WMD for something really scary? Oops, sorry, my bad... That was make believe too wasn't it? But if a movie can scare someone so bad then by all means, arm yourself with every weapon you can think of. See you on the 6 o'clock news one day...........

  14. I don't think it's the "right" that matters. There are many legal guns in Canada as well. We simply don't have the same gun violence, per capita, as the US. There seems to be, among some people, an attitude of "shoot first, ask questions later" that is the real issue. That may stem from fear, or from some other feeling of inadequacy that leads people to feel the NEED to carry, and use a gun.

Whether I'm allowed to or not, I'll never carry a weapon. That's my personal choice. I don't see the need, nor do I want the feeling of being a "tough guy" because I'm packing. To be honest, I see most people who use a weapon, or threaten with one, nothing more than a scared child, with no ability to defend themselves otherwise.

A little bit of research (it has been done here before) with regard to gun ownership and the amount of guns in the US will show that gun ownership in the US is way out there... Truly off the scale compared with most countries. One could surmise that the more guns in a society the more chance there is for gun related crime.

As for the second part of your post, I couldn't agree more.

  15. Let's be honest here, yes quite a few people view your posts V6 but I would say half of the people "tune in" to see what kind of argument has erupted from it. I know it turned ugly between you and I have apologized for my actions.

No thoughts on my theory as to why these people don't post?

You think it was "us" that turned ugly? I admit... I did try, but my very crudely crafted, however so appropriate, reply got deleted. lol

  16. Seems to be a catch 22 in play here. You can lawfully get a gun and be a good citizen.... you know, to BARE arms in self defense and the like..... I am just wondering.. At what point does it be come criminal to have the gun, assuming it is a legal weapon and registered to the owner that so desperately wants to exercise his born right to use it? Is it criminal to have a thought, a bad thought that is? Or is it just criminal, and suddenly the guns can be got from any old where, after the shootings occur? Is this the point at which we say, this has nothing to do with the right to BARE arms?? Given that the vast majority of killings are with legally acquired and owned guns, ie by law abiding citizens, I'll bet you $10.00 that Robert Hawkins' weapon was legal. Your not hoping to have the cake and eat it too are you?

  17. if you have an avenue to do so, go for it. Complaining to people who either have no authority to do anything or who don't give a crap to listen to you... well... not a good avenue.

An avenue like your Federal courts perhaps? Would that do it? They do listen, true, but then the regime in Washington changes the law or rewrites your constitution ("just a god damned piece of paper") to suit their agenda. Just like this for an example.. If you will. Does anyone do anything about that? Seems not! Just a whisper that your right to bare arms may need to be revised and the whole of the country cries foul and rallies en mass against such an outrage.. Take away all of your rights as a citizen and not a word. Perplexing to say the least, wouldn't you say?

I too will say, that the use of the words "you" and "your" are used in a generic form and not directed at any one person or persons in particular.

    Added footnote......

For those that might be offend by the reference "just a god damned piece of paper" whilst talking of your constitution. I have just quoted directly from G.W.Bush. They are his words, not mine. I felt that I had to say this because some of you don't know this insignificant little fact. I thought I'd clear it up. No need for angry charges against me, as has happened once before when some of our not so learned friends became quite hostile toward me. I assume they thought I said it???

  18. those are the seeds, for sure.

but, i think the american public is going to have a hard time with this one. the link you provided, sure doesn't make thing easier but there is wiggle room. enough for the seeds to work their way in...

The American people will swallow anything put before them. Iraq is a blaring example as to how facts didn't get in the way of a 'good ol' payback patriotic war'. Nope, unfortunately the good people of the USA are too uninformed to form an opinion either way, let alone stopping another illegal war.

i sure hope we're not foolish to go stir that place up.

? A little too late for that I think mz.

  19. Heh, i did a little poking around the israeli weapon sites. Have a look at the 'corner shot" weapon photo about 2/3 of the way down the page. It bears an uncanny resemblance to the 'sniper rifle' at the beginning of the vid you sent me

I think the gun pictured was an example (of the technology), not the actual gun used.
