  1. tear it all apart... My question remains, any way to adjust the bands without dropping the tranny itself regardless of how to drop the pan? If so does anyone have a write up? If someone did drop the tranny and has any advice on how to adjust the bands that would wonderful!!!
  2. I just want to drop the pan to replace the filter and was wondering if it is as easy my wagoneer to adjust the bands...I have had this thing sitting for awhile and is a great solid ride but terrible shifting gears.
  3. is it possible to adjust the bands on pathfinder transmissions?
  4. Bump, anyone ever adjusted the bands on a Pathy??? :help: :help: :help:
  5. Keep this topic going because I have a lot of ideas now...
  6. is it possible to adjust the bands on a 91 pathfinder? I was able to do it for other 4x4's and was just wondering. My 91 path has been sitting for 2 years due to an excessive number of vehicles. I have kept it because I still like it. However, it does have problems shifting into 3rd from second say going up a hill. I have to work the throttle like an idiot to get r done. Also, has anyone had any problems with the drivers window not alligning properly? javascript:emoticon('')
  7. motor, well it has run ok but nothing like a v8. I have just finished a grandwagoneer and now trying to decide what to do with this. just put 1k in it on brakes and i do like the styling of this. I have definitely had a lot of good times with thing since brand new. Why would a swap cost 5k? I really do not like the shifting problems because it isn't even worth going to the store it takes so long. How much for the donor motor and the bmw? where you located at? jmcalt@pitt.edu or 412-298-8627.
  8. so what motors drop in a 1991 path? Basically I have a 1991 with +200k and the tranny is basically gone. Started to shift ruff in 1st to 2nd, replaced fluids and now shifts ruff in higher gears. Going up a hill it shifts none stop 2nd and 3rd. If I rebuild the tranny I might as well drop in a different motor. Chevy 350? Any thoughts? thanks, John. :help:
