  1. It's hit or miss. Honestly I found my PS3 as more of an appliance and just a blu-ray player. A few decent games, but I don't like gaming on it much at all. Can't find any games that I like for it.

And red rings are a thing of the past. the elite (the current $300 model) has a new board which is supposed to stop that. I have a Pro and thus far haven't had any problems *knock on wood*. I play my Xbox alot as well. Also never really had disc read errors unless it's a really scratched game. My PS3 has given me more problem (not recognizing HDMI cables and such).

If you're looking me up on PS3 or Xbox it's tobythesandwich

on xbox I play a good bit of MW2 in Team Deathmatch. Once in a while I like to play Horde on Gears 2.

My friend just got a new Xbox Elite after his second red ring

Guess what happened the first time he brought it over to our friends house?

Yup disc read on a perfectly clean disk

Microsoft isn't doing crap to fix their console because they know people are going to keep on buying them anyways, and keep on paying for online play month after month after month

  2. Also xbox is terrible. Red rings, disc read errors, and you have to pay every month just to play online? Yeah no thanks.

My PS3 account is IamTetsuo, but right now if I'm online it's because my friends are using my PS3. I've let them borrow it until I have an HDTV again.

  3. And here's the list of who had who!

    Precise1 -> JUDGE -> AdamZan -> BowTied -> Pezzy -> UNCCPathfinder -> MY1PATH -> k9sar -> GoPathyGo -> GrimGreg -> nismothunder -> SilverPath -> RedPath88 -> Precise1

GoPathyGo is the only person who hasn't posted. His gift will arrive later this year, he asked for something that was only available for pre-order.

  4. As far as I can tell everyone has received their gifts! I need to double check the list, but everything seems to be in order.

Sorry I haven't been around as much, I finally have a job. It's only temporary but it's better than nothing. Of course it means getting up at 6AM and by the time I'm done all I want to do is sit down and relax.

  5. Tick tock tick tock!

Christmas is Friday! Still time for three day shipping!

If you think the gift you're sending won't arrive in time for xmas please let me know

If you have not received a gift by xmas let me know too

  6. My dad had a late 90's (I think 97) 2wd Ranger with a four cylinder and 5sp, and he loved it. Not sure which 4 cylinder it had, I know it had the twin spark set up though. It was very reliable and had decent power for a 4 cylinder. They're very popular and have very good aftermarket support, although most of it is for high speed long travel suspension desert pre-running/racing. Only get a manual though. The V6 auto is one of the worst designed automatic transmissions ever. They rarely make it to even 100k, and cannot be used for towing at all.

If you are planning on hauling people don't expect anyone older than 12 years old be able to fit in the back jumpseats though!

Can't go wrong with a Nissan! Depending on what year you get the 3.3 Supercharged V6 was an option, but that will probably be out of your price range.

Don't forget to look at Isuzus as well! My friend had a 4x4 Isuzu truck and enjoyed it very much (he later sold it, but that's because that's just what he does with vehicles, he buys and sells at least one vehicle a year usually).

  7. This is the exact same symptoms my transmission had before it lost 4th completely, followed promptly by losing second. Sounds like your transmission shop knew that if they didn't install a cooler you'd be back to have your transmission rebuilt again.

Put in a cooler ASAP (like tomorrow), and hope you caught it early enough.

  8. Uhm kingman you missed B's point

The point is that the job is not worth screwing up your education

I second B's recommendation: don't get behind. It's nearly impossible to pull yourself out once you get behind. I know I'v tried, and as such my GPA for college went from 3.5 to 3.0 due to one F

That being said the only employer I know of who actually gives a @!*% about what your GPA was in college is Google

  9. Try and find a D21 truck at a junkyard and grab the transfer case shifter. Otherwise you either have to modify your current shifter or cut a notch in the floorboard in order to shift into low range.

Also unless you got the body lift from 4x4parts.com you'll need to get longer bolts for the rear body mounts.

Welcome to the site! And post a picture of your rig! WAVEY

  10. OK everyone here's where you post your wishlist's so your Santa can know what to get you, so you don't end up with a knit sweater.

Here's an example (copy pasted from another forum I post on):

Here are things that I like!

I like video games! Video games are totally sweet, but I am very poor so I can not afford them. I own a PSTriple, a Nintendo Wii, and a Sega Dreamcast. I only have Crazy Taxi 2 for the Dreamcast. If you are incredibly rich and awesome I would not frown at a 360.

I wear a size Medium to Large t-shirt. Medium if the shirt is made for fatties, large if the shirt is made for hipsters. I also like vintage western shirts.

Books are great! My favorite writers are (in no particular order) Piers Anthony, Neal Stephenson, Philip Jose Farmer, Robert Asprin, and Robert Jordan. There are probably others I just can't think of right now.

I am starting to get in to comic books. Currently my favorite series is Preacher. If you could get me something similar to that it would be awesome! No superhero comic books though, I don't really dig those.

I do enjoy anime. Manga is cool too.

I am into photography. I have a Canon Rebel XTi, with the kit lens and a nifty 50 (50mm IS 1.8) lens.

Or if you're lazy here's my amazon wish list, which I will update as I think of stuff to put on there. http://www.amazon.com/wishlist/A2IV5CXP72IO/

Amazon.com wishlists are an easy way to do things, your Santa can even buy it and have it shipped directly to you from Amazon! Amazing! Also you can even add items from other websites to an Amazon wishlist, very useful if you'd like to request car parts or the like.

OK get cracking! Gifts are supposed to show up before Christmas and have to arrive before the new year, so the faster you get your wish list up the better!
