I did do that already, bent all the contacts back out a bit more, the weird thing is the lights on both switches come on and stay on when you turn the switch so you'd think there would be constant power there? this is why im so confused. I though maybe a bad ground but then each seat would be grounded on it's own so why would both do it at the same time. I'm baffled
  2. Well it's been along time since i was on here last. I sold my pathfinder to get a 240sx and that was a blast but now ive bought a house and have a baby on the way so the 240 had to go. I bought another pathfinder again and forgot how much more fun these things are then a sports car I got a 95 with fairly low km's and fully loaded, leather interior and heated seats. I must say I don't think i'll ever sell this one, I love these trucks to much.
  3. Hey guys i just bought a 95 nissan pathfinder with leather heated seats but it seams the heated seat intermittently work, both seats will come on and off randomly while driving. Any suggestions? anyone else had this issue?
  4. Sweet, thanks that is the answer i wanted to hear. Any year better than another? I guess i'll get the lowest km one i can find. I got the truck for free from a friend and he said that it was making weird noises like grinding metal undeneith it sometimes but when i got it from him it never made the noise at all until i went 4xing a few times, then it started making sounds frrom hell. I took it home and checked the T-case fluid and whe i pulled the plug there wasn't a drip inside just a whole lot of huge chunks of metal on the magnet. I tried to put a bit more fluid in and it just leaked out almost instantly around all the seals.
  5. Hey guys i need some info on what transfer case will work in my truck, its an 87 hard body, well the door tag says its an 86/1 but registers as an 87, obviously 4x4 with teh vg30. My transfer case finally went the other night and i cant seems to find any 4x4 hardbodys in any of the wreckers around here but there is tons of pathfinders in all years and was wondering if the tranny and Tcase would bolt up to my truck? and if so from what years? any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance. I had the same clunking noise in my 92 pathy and i could feel it on the drivers side, felt like it was right under me and it even made the same squeeling noise talked about in this post i greased my upper ball joints and the sound and clunking noise is gone but i'm thinking i should actually replace the ball joints soon before they break off.
  8. Well turns out Nissan couldn't find a key code available for my vin# so off to the locksmith i go. I'm going to get him to match the ignition to the door key that he makes to so i have one key for all. Thanks for all your input guys. Cheers Eric

  10. No the thing is my ignition key does not work for the doors, i tried every door with the key i got with the truck and none work. Maybe the truck was stolen before and the ignition was smashed? and they replaced it but lost the key for the doors? who knows but i just know i dont have a key to get into the truck. i guess i will have to just take it to a locksmith and get them to count the pin lengths and make me a new one from scrath
  11. Does anyone know how or where to find they key code to get a new key cut for my doors or do i need a locksmith to come do it? whe i bought the pathy it just came with one ignition key and an alarm system to lock and unlock the doors. I'm afraid if my battery dies i wont be able to get in.
  12. Yeah i do all the work on all my trucks from engine rebuilds to body work, paint, and welding. Never had to take my trucks to a shop unless for a wheel alingment or something stupid like that. Here is some more pic's of my trucks if anyone is interested.
  13. I found the noise, it was the sway bar bushings and endlinks where completley shot. everytime i went over a bump the sway bar would bash up and down making the noise.
  14. K i checked the front differential crossmember bolts and they seem to be nice and tight so what else could this be? would bad shocks do this?
  15. just over the last few days my Pathfinder has a clunking noise coming from the front end somwhere on the drivers side, i can almost feel it under my feet. It seems to do it when i leave a stop light and acellerate quick or when im stopping hard and the odd time going over a bump. Could the front differential crossmember bolts be loose making this sound? i read it somewhere on this site that it is a known problem. Thanks in advance

  17. Yes 510's are the best race car, i have a 72 2 door 510 flared out with a roll cage and it kicks hiney. i'll take some pics of it and post them soon
  18. Sorry for asking guys i did a search right after i posted that and found everything i wanted to know. I'm look foward to doing some mods to my pathy and it seems i found the right place for info, you guys are awsome. I took it up the mountain today and was impressed at how much flex you can get out of the stock suspension on these rigs, with my rims being so offset and 255/70/15's they stick out about an inch past the flares and i though i was going to smash my flares off or hit my fenders but it tucked so close that i could maybe fit a credit card inbetween the tire and fender. I'm hoping with a 3" lift or so it will give me a little more room to play. will post some better pics in the next few days. thanks for the replys. Cheers Eric

Hey all my name is Eric and i'm from Vancouver Island B.C. i just bought a 92 Pathfinder and found this forum, ive never owned one before but have only ever owned datsun 620 pickups and know that datsun/Nissan are the sweetest vehicles ever made. I want to know how to get this thing atleast 3" higher then it is but have never done lifts before just slammed them. any help would be great and is it an easy job to do your self?   24. Yeah move to B.C. :cool2: it's nice here and i need to meet some people with pathfinders. I just bought a 92 and love it but i don't know anyone here with one .
