  1. So after some "mayo" on my oil cap and dip stick and chocolate milk oil I decided time to dig in and change the head gasket. I will go through my tips steps and anything involving it. Just know I'm not a full bird mechanic just hobbies so sorry if it's not all verbally correct. Here are my before/reference pictures. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  2. Not sure if Compression Rods (not to be confused Torsion Bars) are available aftermarket, I have personally never seen any. I got my replacements from a wrecking yard. If yours need replaced then odds are pretty good that it's because the bushing cups are damaged and you will need to fix that or it will just destroy the new rods you install. 5th Bolded line in first post Front shock length does not change with T-Bar lift on WD21's. Also consider Superlift/Rough Country UCA's, they are less expensive than Calmini and other than a single bad production run years ago (which they more than willingly corrected for buyers), there seems to be less debate about the fit and quality.

  3. I switched to the hardbody assembly and holders and then put some high end e-code Hella lenses in. The cutoff is a lot more dramatic but still illuminates the right side. it looks like this _/ _/. I wanted the extra cutoff so I could run some LED bulbs and not get terrible issues with glare for oncoming traffic. I plan to use the philips ultinon line of bulbs. They should have proper placement of the diodes to not cause issues with lining up with the housing which is a common problem for the cheaper bulb types. Im actually in Atlanta so you're welcome to check them out at the next caffeine and octane.

  4. So... I am not dead and fortunately neither is the pathfinder. Back in January my no run issue ended up being caused by the fuel return and feed lines being ass backwards in the tank hookup, and with a mostly empty tank it would run on fumes and then cut out. But in the process of trouble shooting I managed to screw up a few other things like my timing and my idle sensor so all in all it actually took quite a while to figure out and make right. But currently the engine runs like a champ. However, I am still having rear end noise issues at speed. Part of the problem ended up being my drive shaft length. At ride height the shaft was fully pinched between the diff and the transfer case, resulting in transmission noise as well as differential noise. I caught that in time to avoid damage fortunately. And now after another drive tonight I have a feeling that the noise I am hearing is coming from my rear brake drums rubbing on the sheet metal guard that wraps around the backside. If this is the case I should have it sorted out soon. On my test drive tonight I also managed to displace a coil spring while flex testing through some V-ditches and getting the wheels flexed out in the air, but that should be a minor fix. Long term I think I want to look at coil overs, or land Rover springs but we'll see about that. No pictures due to my phone camera being broken unfortunately. Part of the reason this has all taken so long is that I've been super busy with work, and I've taken on several more important projects since January that have all just made the time fly by. Speaking of, say hello to Swamp Thing... Not gonna spam the crap out of it on a Nissan forum but it'll probably pop up here or there when I finally get out and start having fun in the Pathfinder ?

  9. Made a recent trip to out east, exploring the area as we went along with no real plan in mind. The state turns to dry, arid desert really quickly. 2hrs from home and it was about 40 degrees hotter and dry. Great short trip with my family.
