Guest pathyman95 Posted October 27, 2005 Share Posted October 27, 2005 i dont no you guys might think im retarded but my pathfinder has a factory alarm as you all no their are 3 settings on the switch (off, on, and impact off) now why is their an "impact off" does the pathfinder have a factory impact sensor? if so can you adjust it because i had a buddy who had a factory alarm and fire works would set his off. on mine a door has to be popped apreciate any feedback thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
k9sar Posted October 27, 2005 Share Posted October 27, 2005 It is my belief that there is no 'impact sensor' like you would think (like an airbag trigger in the bumper). It was my impression that the unit under the seat actually had a motion sensor device that would trigger the alarm if the truck got rocked, towed, run into, etc. I typically leave mine Impact Off ever since a bolt of lightning struck the tree next to my house and the jolt set off my alarm.
