FullThrottle
Hi All Does anyone have a list of what the oil capacities are for the Diff's (4x4), Trans (Auto, Manual) and Engine (TD27 or others) and Water capacity of the cooling system? It would be great to compile a list for anyone considering to change the fluids out as I am. I just need to order the right quantities from Chevron. MY1PATH
I bought a 5gal bucket of gear oil and used half of it by the time I had done my Tranny(manual), tranfer-case, front dif and rear diff. then you have enough to do it again in 2yrs or sooner if conditions deem necessary. If you have a haynes or chilton manual the ammounts are listed in there.
Precise1
Ok, I'm assuming everything is the same other than the diesel engine which I have no information on. 91 Pathfinder: manual tranny=10.5? pints (5.1 liters) GL4 ONLY 75w-90, auto tranny=9 pints dextron 2 or 3, transfer case=2.4 pints ATF, front drive axle=3.1 pints GL5 80w-90 rear drive axle 5.9 pints GL5 80w-90 cooling system 12.4 quarts. That seems high, can anyone verify that? Read this... http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...t=0&start=0 and remember when changing the differential oils, remove the fill plug first...
