  1. On the topic of superchargers do you think this does anything or is this the same as the chip you can get at radio shack?
  2. Dumb question but, couldn't you run a second pipe to the rear???
  3. I've seen a couple different jeep sites where guys have pulled old ac compressors or the like from junk yards and set them up for on-board air. I searched the forum here with no success. Has any one done this and if so is it worth the effort?
  4. Often when the car is getting detailed by either a dealer or private party, they aren't very careful when they are cleaning the car and will spray the engine down with no regards to the electrical. Often water gets in the sensors and causes problems. Sometimes having them sprayed out with air and resetting the sensor can do the trick. Other times they have to be replaced. Not always the rule but I ran into this on my 01 back in the day.
  5. Beating a dead horse here, but I got the dealership name by doing a reverse lookup from the phone number
  6. Stupid novice question: What is the tube that goes from the airbox over the radiator for?
  7. I sold Nissans for 5 years (explains why i don't understand a lot, doesn't it) There is no way in HELL there would be unregistered Nissans on the ground. Not only is it the worst financial decision you can make but Nissan Corprate would make the dealer purchase the vehicles after a certain amount of time on the ground. I did a search on this Legend Nissan, Ltd. and found this article. I wouldn't break the piggy bank open and fly to Syosset just yet boys. http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2004/apr/apr26a_04.html
  8. I was just wondering from a maneuverability stand point. Will I be able get the old stuff out and new stuff in without pulling the engine? thx 4 the info
  9. OK, i found the info on Jim's Header installation and something struck me: am i going to be able to do this without having a body lift?
  10. Got a couple of quick questions. First, Pickles, I assume that price quote was for brand new headers and not for the recoating option mentioned earlier. Secondly, I did a search and found several topics on headers but I couldn't seem to find anyone who had installed headers themself. Has anyone done a write up on this. I recal seeing on on Mr. Jims site but i think he took it to a shop. The bottom line question is: can a white collar newbie (me) and guy who works on domestics (my buddy) do this job right.
  11. would you mind posting another quick pic when you're finished?
  12. The micro filter was an option on the paths, typically on the higher end models. It became more of a standard feature in the late year models. Even if yours didn't come with a filter, you should be able to add one.
  13. I'm working up the courage to do this project myself. 1 request: take pictures! (visual learner). Enjoy your project.
  14. Closing out my day @ work, I jumped on AC's site and pulled all the perfomance items for the 2drs. For about $1100 + Labor, you can do the pc, exhaust, kn, headers, & fan; all this gives you about 47 more hp (according to their info). So for about $23 bucks per HP, you are 200+. Let me know how it goes.
