xylicon
My 94 Pathfinder started running rough on the way home yesterday, the tachometer rendered itself useless and began bouncing all over the place and the engine started to run rough at low RPM. I was able to get it into my garage and pulled what I think are codes 23, 45, & 12. After pulling the codes I started the engine and it idled smoothly which leads me to believe it may be a loose connection of some sort. The reason I ask is that I do not see a code 23 in my Nissan repair manual. Video:
k9sar
23 = idle switch 45 = injector leak 12 = MAF Check the connector on the top of your MAF. Mine was bad and the stupid thing would make the truck run rough when the hood 'wiggles' and the cable was touching it. Open your hood, start the truck and let it idle (hopefully it runs fine at this point), then grab the wire running to the top of the MAF and give it a bit of movement. If it changes the behavior of the engine, you have a bad connection. I had a broken wire and had to rebuild the connector (at a 90 degree so it didn't hit the hood). Might just need the pins cleaned for a better connection.
