ninoj Posted June 11, 2006 Share Posted June 11, 2006 I have a clunk noise on the driver side. This clunk happens when i put the car in reverse or in drive and when I go over bumps. I replaced the ball joints and the stabilizer links and the noise is still there. I took a look after I placed the car on a hoist and it looks like the sway bar or stabilizer bar is bent. It is touching the bracket on the driver side and digging into the car. I will replace the bar and bushings, what else would I need to change? max_stryker Posted June 12, 2006 Share Posted June 12, 2006 i doubt the sway is your problem - mine are just hanging there disconnected. it could be as simple as your strut topping out or your cv joint being over extended out of factory specs.... ninoj Posted June 19, 2006 Author Share Posted June 19, 2006 Ok, so I put the car on a hoist and looks like the lower control arm bushing is seized and was slowly grinding away at itself over every bump.
