The Drift
I know there are a bunch of threads about doing brakes on our trucks, and I've read them all. This is my first 4wd vehicle, but after reading everything, looking at pics, etc. I'm pretty confident I should be able to do this nice and quick. I'm doing brakes and Warn hubs. I am picking up inner and outer bearing grease shields. Will I need anything else while I'm at it (I know grease, and brake cleaner etc.)? Parts wise though, to make sure everything is allllll good up front should I pick up anything else? Thanks.
rmd0311
Don't forget the six pack... Can't do brakes without a six pack.
The Drift
Don't forget the six pack... Can't do brakes without a six pack. Good call. And it looks like I had a bit of confusion here. There is one grease seal per side, not two. Oooops
Precise1
I have not done they Warn hub swap, so I cant help there but I have heard the bolts are weak and need upgrading... (8.8 maybe ? Don't know) Brakes are disk so new pads, a can of brake cleaner and maybe antivibe goo... It's all good to go if you keep it clean and bleed them. 5523Pathfinder
I did the Warn Swap about 2 months ago. You better get some bolts to replace the studs they give you just in case. Some guys never had a problem with the studs, but some have. I broke two just trying to torque them. Remember, you have to relocate the snap ring to the outer position. Your going to like the warns! The Drift
Time consuming, but really not all that difficult. The hubs look sooooooo much better.
