Guest rene
Hello experts, I am thinking about buying a Pathfinder (here in the Netherlands, where I live). In several test reports, 2 critical points are mentioned more or less frequently: - the 2.5 liter diesel engine: loud and uncultivated at low and high speed; - the driver seat: too short and not giving much support. Could you experts give me your own opinion on this ? I have the impression, that in the Netherlands / Germany the preference is not with these japanese cars at all, and that european cars are favourised. Thanks & Regards, René. Pezzy
Hi there, I dont think you'll get a lot of info about the diesel engine here, as most of us are from North America, and are not lucky enough to get the diesel engine as an option... I suppose in general the diesel engines are loud compared to gas, but it's a sound one could get used to (we have a diesel Jetta as a daily driver... it's loud!) I test drove one of the newer pathy's a while ago, and never had any issue with the seat, but I would guess that would depend on the driver's preference... I would suggest you take one out for a test drive, and see for yourself... Welcome to the board! I hope some of the owners of the 05/6 pathy's can give you some more insight.
