WoffY
Hi guys nice to see that Terranos exist even if its on the other side of the world - NZ. I was wondering what engine oil I should use for a 1993 turbo diesel engine, I hear that semi synthetic might be oK but the sythetic is too modern for an old engine - any ideas? wheel366
Well, I don't know about being to old to use synthetic cause we use the Amsoil 5W-30 Heavy Duty diesel oil in my fathers 1984 Volvo and I use synthetic in my 1995 Pathfinder and in his 1996 Lumina. Terrano
I heard many times that 100% synthetic oils are not recommended for old engines. I use Mobil semi-synthetic. Our TD27 engines will be fine on mineral oil as well, just don't forget to change it timely
