Guest walt
I had a Pathfinder until the other day when starting I drop the thing into gear and the engine went to max RPM. Unfortunately I could not help from hitting a van. Is there anyone who has heard of this problem. I have had the rust repaired in the rear. Plates were welded on the frame $300. TrailChaser
Did you floor it then when you let off it stayed floored? That's a pretty common problem. Check the how too's for a quick fix. To bad it's too late.
88pathoffroad
The only thing that'd do that is the throttle sticking open. No electronic device on the engine will make it rev up to max RPM's.
Earth1
Could it be that the cruise control cruise was stuck? Happened to me once, but it was in neutral.
