:( i took my pathy out and well it did ok. i did have a big problem though. while crossing a small creek, my pathy just died. no water got inside the car engine. i went really slow. my battery went dead and would't charge. i'm goin to change the battery and replace torsion bar adjuster thingy. it got stripped and my driver side sags over the tire. could my alternator be gone? and how much can i raise my 91 pathy without changin the shocks?

could be ur alt but it wouldnt just die that fast, how old is ur battery, check all ur wires and ground, take ur alt out and go to autozone and have them test it

and you can get about an inch of lift with tbars, but you need to bring the rear up with it, if you get a JGC coils you will get about an inch to 3 inchs with it

I have no way of telling you why it died from across the country. A frayed or corroded wire, the battery terminal, ECU plug, any number of things will make it die. It sounds to me like your battery simply died while you were offroading.

You can crank up the torsion bars at least 2.5", but then your balljoints and tie rods will be at a pretty severe angle and they'll wear out faster than normal. You do not have to get different shocks for the front if you crank up the torsion bars. On the rear shocks, simply match the amount of lift you put on it.
