Last week my 97 Pathfinder would not start. Followed all of your advice. Had fue, had spark, had it all, except ignition. Decided to take it to the shop. Got the rollback in front of it, told the wife to unlock the steering column, and for the heck of it, try to start it. STARTED RIGHT UP!!!! Runs fine, starts everytime. Now I am scared of it since I travel alot in it. What should I do??? The only thing we had was a huge thunder and lightning storm that night before it would not start. Any suggestions????

Thanks

where'd ya check the spark? There are times when wet plug wires with too high resistance will ground themselves through other than the spark plug. FUnny thing is that when you pull the spark plug and check the spark, it's there... cause the wire isn't laying against whatever it was grounding against. My reco... check your plug wire resistance.

I actually checked it on the plug wire with a tester. That makes sense, as we had a ton of rain that night. Get this though, my digital deer feeder had to be reset after the storm as well, its battery powered but had been interrupted.

must have been a heck of a storm.

Pezzy... a digital deer feeder is an electronic (digital) controlled hopper which contains grain or otehr stuff that deer like to eat. It dispenses at periodic intervals so the deer in the area learn where to come for a free meal and the inevitable 'BANG' as a slug pierces their skull (though I think baiting is illegal)

I was just saying that I wonder if all of the energy from the lightning disrupted everything. By the way, the deer feeder is for the wifes amusement and has nothing to do with hunting at my place.
