Guest 87 mudfinder Posted October 18, 2005 Share Posted October 18, 2005 at first my fuel and temp gauge worked off and on for a few mounths and then one day i started it up and my rpm gauge,and my blinkers stopped working so i tapped on the dash and the rpm gauge started working and once i put it in gear it would stop working and the the lights on the dash that told you what gear it was in would not come on only the park light would come on and the battery light is always on. im stumped :confused: so any help would be great. denisb Posted October 18, 2005 Share Posted October 18, 2005 I'd take the cluster off and make sure all the connections are good in the back. Clean all the contact area and try it again. There's only about 10 to 12 screws to take out to remove the cluster. All the guages you mention are voltage related and the tapping on the dash getting the RPM going leads me to think a loose connection. If it was just your gas and temp there is a solution, but it seems to be all electonics in yours. Denis Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
94extreme Posted October 18, 2005 Share Posted October 18, 2005 check ecu.. the constant light on the dash could be because of your alt going bad... the symptoms you describe remind me of a bad connection/loose wire somewhere behind the cluster.. oh and ouch.. that's one long winded sentence there buddy...
