Guest vERSATILE
My old pathfinder has a miss. The miss was there when i bought (i think). Water pump and steering pimp were out when i bought it. Changed wires cap rotor and plugs. Everything was still original from when it was new, Cylinder #6 seems to be dead. Did a vacum test and all that comes out alright. Other than (maybe bending the spark plug electrode) i don't think i bent it. i am at a loss as to what is wrong. Is there something electrical that i have missed or don't know about? Thought i would ask before i do a compression test. :help:
Guest vERSATILE
I thought i should add that none of the plugs i replaced were oil fouled.
Precise1
I assume a compression test ? Hmm, could be a faulty plug... Have you tested the spark with it removed ? Tried another one ? Could there be crap/grit around the sparkplug hole that is not allowing you to get a good seal ? B
firstpathy
Did you drop the spark plug at all? there could be a crack and you dont even know! anyways, a cracked sparkplug will ground out at high rpms and create that miss. Maybe drop 5 bucks and get a new one?
