Ok here it is I got a 98 pathfinder, what Im thinking of doing is cutting the piece of plastic below the drivers side turning signal and running a hose from there to the air box. I know this is similar to what Dj dank did but I dont have a cone. THink its a good idea?

I think it's a good idea. Cold air works miracles for any engine, and it certanly couldn't hurt unless you cross deep water like already mentioned. I've been looking a little bit into getting some cooler air into my intake but then it hit me... winter is coming.

Go for it. I'd bet a turn in the pipe from the intake to the airbox would take care of any rain. If you don't wheel or stick the front in in the drink, worst thing is it does nothing, otherwise, maybe you score some cheap HP and grunt. Be sure to post up either way.
