I just bought a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder SE and I absolutley love it the only problem I have is sometimes it wont start I go to turn the key and get absolutely nothing. The guy I bought it from said sometimes the tranny shifter doesn't click into park and that cause it not to start, but even when I make sure it clicks into park I still get nothing usually after about 5or 6 trys it starts up what could this be?

There was a thread that went into exactly this within the last month. Try searching for it using "starting" "auto shifter" "shifter button" etc... Make sure to include all text in the post. Let me know if you have problems.

make sure the wires connecting to the starter are not gounding out on anything,. i had that same problem till my entire truck died while driving, smoke fille the cab, and when i got it pulled to a friends house, checked it out, the smell of electrical burn was written all ove the starter, i had it tested, and booom it was it. i replced it, adn while doing that, i saw where it was grounding out. make sure the nut is tight and not hitting anything.!!!!+ i replaced the broken plastic cover that covers the nut. maybe you have the same problem i had
