Guest MrsLoriC
I have a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder. Woke up this morning to take the kiddo to school, (left the windows down a few inches over night, maybe slight humidity??) got in the seat and went to move it forward, since my husband drove it last, I need it a bit closer, and the seat won't budge. I pull on the hand release under the seat, and it will engage and move about 1/2 inch and stop, it is STUCK in the furthest position from the stearing wheel. Took off the side panel to look at the rail the seat is suppose to "roll" on and it dosn't look like anything is ubstruckting the movement of the seat. No carpet, string, coins, NOTHING! what is keeping the seat from moving forward?? HELP!!
jj big shoe
There's a cable under the seat that runs between the seat rails. The release handle operates one adjuster directly while the cable pulls the one on the opposite rail. Since you said it will move about 1/2" it sounds like only one side is releasing. Check to see if the cable is broken or obstructed somehow.
