D4Donny
Hi, I'm D4Donny. Just joined and looking to connect with folk Local to me. I live at Larnook near Lismore, Kyogle and Nimbin in the Northern Rivers area of NSW, Australia. Have just bought a 2003 R500 1A Dual fuel. Don't do a lot of off-road driving but do pull a trailer full of builder's tools and equipment. I'm keen to know of good mechanics/workshops in my area and where to source cheap spares (new and used). Feel free to friend me if you live in NSW, QLD or Victoria. TheDuke1011
G'day mate!TheDuke1011 Here, south-west Sydney, Australia!I have a beautiful 1996 Nissan PF, 3.3L Petrol V6.I recently fitted my PF with a 2inch lift - lovells springs and webco shocks. Also Beefed up the tyres to 31" - 31x10.5xR15 Falken Wildpeak ATs.Trouble is, the tyre sits VERY close to the strut. Literally 1-2mm of clearance MAX.I have read on other forums that yes, the distance would be minimal if i fitted 31's, andthat it would definitely scrub on full lock. But this isn't what I expected. Can someone tell me if this looks right? If it's too close, then I might have to put 5mm spacers...Can someone please post pics of their 31's and how far they differ from the strut? LittleFR
I had to run 1" spacers with my 01 with 32's... and it lets me clear the Warn Manual hubs and retain my factory center cap (with no hole cut in it) Sounds pretty par for the course. You either need different backspacing on wheels or some sort of spacer. I lifted right at 2.75inches and with the spacers had to relocate the front of my splash guard... just drill 3 holes on each side about 1.5in further forward than your stock holes. then cut the bumper corner off with a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder (you cant tell mine isn't stock without crawling under it) and trim the lip off the back mudflap and no more rubbing with 32's and 1" spacer (even in reverse over bumps).
