installed new races and bearings but it seems like maybe I did not seat the races deep enough. Does anyone know the depth they should be set at? The outer races seems to be bottomed out but the inner seems to have some more space to go, any help would be great. thanks

I usually just press them in after removing all the old grease and making sure that there's no grit or grime left until they won't go any further, visually double check that they're in and then pack the area with a liberal amount of grease put the inner bearing in and then a new seal, take it out to the pathy slip it over the spindle shaft, push the outer bearing in as far as I can and then torque them down to spec and recheck after a 100 miles or so.

*Note: there will be space between the two races since there is a lip they bottom out on like kingman said. Once they reach that they're all the way in.
