97Pathfinderman
Ive been doing some research on lockers for my 97 Pathfinder and all i've found that is reasonable is the Lokka. Has anyone used these before and does anyone know if the NIS-FO-182 is the right one for my rig?
jyeager
Yes, that's the right one for your pathfinder. I have the same one, although I haven't installed it yet. A lot of folks have them and like them. I would guess that everyone that has one, also has manual hubs. If you retain your factory, full-time hubs, you will probably hear it ratcheting when you turn when driving, even in 2-wd. But if you are running the manual hubs unlocked you won't.
duke90
I have one in my 02 and I love it. When driving on dirt roads with the manual hubs engaged, but still in 2wd mode it feels normal...meaning I don't feel the lokka trying to pull the wheels one way or another. I do 50-60mph on the washboards (in 2wd) and have no issues. When I do engage 4wd it's usually while driving over deep sand and I'm still doing around 20-30mph. In 4wd you can feel it try to pull to one side or the other but it's not too bad. A few times I've done some steeper climbs on loose/rutted hillsides and it climbs it easy. I also have an LSD so that helps a little, but I'm definitely a fan of the lokka.
