Extreme loss of power

Hi guys, it´s my 1st time here.

I have one 3.0DDTI Pathfinder and from one year now it as extreme loss of power specially in hot days and claiming, I leave in Mozambique and here the weather is hot all year, so you can see my problem.

 

Things already done:

Clean MAF sensor

Clean exhaust

Clean EGR valve 1st time

Block EGR valve 2nd time

Replace vacuum pipes

Change filters

 

The diagnostic don´t show any error, but any time that I push the RPM to overtake or to claim some hill the yellow light check engine starts to blink till the engine be off, then starts again without any blinking light.

 

I really need help to solve this issue, please.

I am not sure about this, but I think the blinking yellow light might only happen while you engine is misfiring.

That is consistent with the symptoms you describe.

 

Try replacing your distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires.

Thank you Jyeager but I can't do that because my Pathfinder its Diesel engine ZD30DDTI.

Any other suggestion?

I would start looking at the turbo - do you have a boost gauge to check that it's creating the right pressure under boost? I would check for boost leaks or exhaust leaks (before the exhaust gets to the turbo)
