1999 Pathfinder start/stall

A LOOOONGG time ago I posted on here for my friend to hopefully get some answers as to why his Pathfinder runs like a turd. Well, taking everything that was said into consideration - we decided to opt for a new distributor. Now, we double checked how we installed this thing. It's flush and everything is meshing good. Other than we have a broken spark plug, there is nothing I can see wrong with this thing. The fuel pump works. New fuel filter. Oil change. New o2 sensor. New coolant temp sensor. But when you try to start it up, it would start up and die out. Now I can't even get it started again. I've tried putting it in neutral. Tried starting fluid. New battery. Charged the battery. Nothing I have done has made any difference. Any ideas?

Camshaft position sensor? I had a problem like this after changing the distributor on a friend's Nissan I had helped work on.

If you switch the ignition on without starting it are you able to pull any codes?

So, just for reference... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/40572-1999-pathfinder-rough-idle/

Did you ever download the FSM? Section EC (page 54) has a good diagnostic flow chart for 'Hard or impossible to start when engine is cold'. Too much to type, so that is where I would start.
