I have recently bought an Pathfinder/Terrano, but the tailgate handle is broken. So i cant get the tailgate open from the outside and cant see a handle on the inside? How will i get it open?

Have ordered a new handle.

ahhh.....ooooh, that is a tough one....I was about to tell you how to replace the broken handle but to do that, the lift gate needs to be OPEN! Haha....ummmmm......I wonder if you could use a pair of pliers, like needlenose to put in there and try to twist the latching mechanism so it'll disengage. ....hmmmm, no I guess that wont do it, you might be able to use a flat head screw driver to mimic the lever action the handle was intended to provide and push the connecting rod down so it'll open? That whole "no latch on the inside" thing is a real pisser.
