Cv Boot Replacement help

my driver side boot is torn all the way around and the joint looks good, im gonna use the dorman quick boot wich bolts on so the axle dosent have to be removed, any one have any helpfule hints on how to remove the old one and install the new one.

Anytime I have a torn boot I replace the axle(only 2 so far, 1 on each side) , I'm in sand and dirt alot so I know grit got in there. Guess it'd be ok to just do the boot if you mainly stick to the pavement.

I've replaced 3 boots so far. 2 outer and 1 inner.....best advice I got was from a Youtube vid from an Aussie 4x4 show....I'm sure you'll be able to find it.

the worst part was pulling the half shaft. you'll need 4 hands and a way to support the drive flange.(hub). but once you get it out it's not that hard to figure out how to pull things apart, clean, and re-grease and re-install
