01Pathmaker
Anytime I have a torn boot I replace the axle(only 2 so far, 1 on each side) , I'm in sand and dirt alot so I know grit got in there. Guess it'd be ok to just do the boot if you mainly stick to the pavement.
bushnut
I've replaced 3 boots so far. 2 outer and 1 inner.....best advice I got was from a Youtube vid from an Aussie 4x4 show....I'm sure you'll be able to find it. the worst part was pulling the half shaft. you'll need 4 hands and a way to support the drive flange.(hub). but once you get it out it's not that hard to figure out how to pull things apart, clean, and re-grease and re-install
