2003 taillight swaped into my 97

So, today my local jy had a half off sale and i got my hands on a pair of 03 tail lights and wiring for $16 i went to swap them expecting different coloured wires but they were the same just different ends ie different sockets but same colour wires and they meant the same thing so i used bullet plugs if i brake them i can always swap back to original im very happy with our xome took maybe 30 mins to wire and swap

Well they came off a red/maroon pathy so i plastidiped the red/maroon trim

They all had red trim around the lights. I thought the same as you, thinking they were color matched, but they were all red. Looks good putting it to black.

It does look good. I noticed the matte red trim on mine as well.

Ok yeah it took mybey 3 coats of plasti dip and 30 mins of dry time if i had more money i probably would have come out of there with the whole front end to swap over

I bought mine second hand, and the red trim had started to fade, so I masked and wet sanded with 600grit then did 2-3 coats of dupli-color matte black trim paint.

Plasti dip dosent need prep so i like.it and i think when i get paid again i might go back over for the head lights than next pay for the hood and grill
