aw12345
My buggy didn't come with the TCM, got it to shift with one of these http://www.radesignsproducts.com/Baja.php Question is this, is it detrimental to trans life to deal with the over run clutch solenoid and the line press solenoid? This thing will mostly be used for serious rock crawling. Will probably hardly ever see OD in high range. Fastest it will go, is full throttle up some sand hills. Buggy has complete 1989 Pathfinder engine and auto trans and about 60% of the original frame, everything else is, well something else
Kyle94
It should still have a Tcm. But the controller taps into the wires thus manual control. It's highly helpful off-road. And you can lock the tc if i remember right. You should be able to flip a switch or put the controller in regular mode and it will just shift via the stock selector. It's been a while but I almost got one. Still sorta want one.
aw12345
It shifts without the tcm, all gears work without the tcm as of now, just wondering if it would help trans life to activate line press solenoid. This setup work well with the zjeep AW$ trans also several friends use this shifter without a tcm in their vehicles
