Guest joe19812
How do I know if my rear LSD is operating correctly? I have a 2001 LE 4x4 with an LSD. When it was new I'd get a slight wheel hop when making tight right turns but after 64K miles it doesn't hop any more. Is this a problem? On a related topic, I was checking out the info on the new Jeep Grand Cherokee's Quadra-Drive 2 Vari-Lok differentials. Looks like a pretty cool system with the ability to send all power to a single wheel when needed. Is there an aftermarket differential similar to the Jeep's Vari-Lok that could be installed in the front & rear diffs of the Pathfinder(not interested in air-lockers)? With the Pathfinder LE's AWD setting and these improved diffs could you theoretically get all the power to a single wheel like the JGC?
88pathoffroad
1. If you spin the tires on gravel or dirt and it leaves two tire tracks, that's a pretty easy way to tell. 2. No. 3. No. 4. No. Refer to #3.
big_johnson
Why don't you like air lockers? Get some of those front and rear, your 4wd system would work much better than the JGC's, and wouldn't have all the electronics to add to the possibility of a system failure
