Guest huntony
Where is the MAP sensor located on an 87' Utility E?
88pathoffroad
There is no MAP sensor. That's the acronym for a manifold absolute pressure sensor, correct? You looking for the mass airflow sensor or the exhaust gas recirculation valve instead?
Guest huntony
Hmm, your correct on what I was refering to as MAP. Where is the other sensors you were talking about? Also, have you ever heard of the dual injectors going out on these rigs? I have the Z24 engine which has dual spark plugs per cylinder. It started cough like it wasnt getting fuel and now want start. I am having trouble determining what is wrong with it. It is getting spark, I checked that already. Any suggestions?
88pathoffroad
Checked your fuel pressure? Fuel filter replaced recently or old? The injectors don't usually just die, AFAIK. The mass airflow sensor is integrated in the TBI unit. The EGR valve wouldn't cause a no-start condition.
