fuel pump pressure

does anyone know what the fuel pump pressure is for a 1998 pathy? i went through my manual, looked on these and other forums..couldn't find anything. Any help would be high appreciated

From the 1997 FSM:

 

At idle:

With vac hose connected -- 34psi

With vac hose disconnected -- 43psi

 

No idea what vac hose they are talking about.

just looked up a 1998 fsm and on page EC32 I find to no surprise a match to the 97 specs posted by pathfounder there

KOER (key on engine running-at idle)at 34psi(235kPa) vac connected/ 43psi(294kPa) with the vac disconnected

the vacuum line in question would be the one to the fuel pressure regulator

If your fuel pressure is significantly less than the spec, try changing the fuel filter as it can be partially restricted or clogged. It's also the easiest way to start troubleshooting such an issue.
