Nefarious
my 2.4 litre rear drive gas powered engine hoist tow machine (a.k.a 240sx). lol. pulling a vg on a gravel driveway by yourself sucks. engine out a big hole, engine bay looks huge with a 3" body lift and no engine! the new beast, kind of ugly but it runs perfectly and silently. great runner. had to drill out a broken stud (previous owner of the donor truck snapped it), can see the new stud on the right. that was not fun. snapped off an ez-out in the broken stud trying to extract it... i will never use one of those again....cobalt drill bit to the rescue to drill out the hardened steel ez out....nightmare over...lol test fitting
Nefarious
the power steering pump didnt clear the frame rails so I had to make a custom mounting bracket which would move the pumps location inward toward to engine about 3-4 inches. I then used a much shorter drive belt and had mucho clearance afterward. sizing up the area alternator will fit with some shaving of the case, i will make a lower clearance bracket for it down the road but i have been running it with a shaved case for 2 years now with zero issues. heres the r50 bracket, i have to mimick the offset of this bracket but make it much shorter starting to fab the tensioner bracket. used a piece of the old 3.0 bracket and some flat stock I had laying around. mocked up, so far so good heres the offset of the two, exact same heres how much room clearance i gained from. my adjuster up top, r50 adjuster on the bottom after modifying the old r50 pump brackets to work with my setup, had to shift and cut soem things, redrill some holes, etc.
Nefarious
heres the setup all ready to rock, almost done the steering moved the pump return line fitting around to get the old line to work, had to bend the old line but it worked out fine. no leaks 2 years later. bolted up, this was a happy moment haha
Nefarious
also made a bracket to hold the pump to the block to gain even more clearance and allow me to later add the A/C pump back as an onboard air compressor. which is happening soon so stay posted! belt looks a little crooked but its just camera angle, its bang on
Nefarious
finished block bracket(i was just learning to weld on a 120v lincoln wire feed, my welds are much more pretty now had to shave some off the alternator case, no biggy
Nefarious
lots of clearance now alternator is a tight fit, but it works its in!

Nefarious
my awesome wire hangers to fab up an exhaust system for this truck. (a learning experience, haha) getting the Y transition together trying to get the pipe as high up as possible, with plans to use header wrap after to insulate everything. Nefarious
had to move the power steering reservoir over to the driver side of the truck to match up with the new power steering pump location. needed to get rid of the air box, using an open filter for now until i get my inline snorkel filter in it's place. all my steering equipment is on one side of the truck now! cool! the battery/alt are right beside each other now too like it was meant to be. go it all together, everything hooked up! got some Altima electric fans wired up too, so much more engine bay and work space now. a little more powah too. new routing for the power steering, all within about a foot of space! Nefarious
another shot of the altima e-fan. got the y pipe finished. first time at this, i think it turned out okay. sounds good it even fits. will header wrap later. gunna add flanges further down the road but for now this will do, yay for exhaust clamps (sigh)
Nefarious
and this is where the o2 sensor goes. used this to plug the egr bung of the obx headers. its a plug i found in the side of an old 240sx transmission, 27mm head on it, the threads fit the headers perfectly to block the egr for now. may add it later. came from here. lucky find, i love when that happens. well thats all the pics that I could find, hope this helps everyone thats been asking!! I have a bunch of build updates, just fine tuning and perfecting things with the swap/truck. Ill probably start a new thread for that one!
